  • Back to Realty

I HATE September! Back to rushing, schedules, lunches, homework, forms, other's timetables, grumpy morning people and so on.

Seems like every year I go through this! This year though...this year need to be different and I am trying a few strategies to help make that more of a reality and start enjoying my Septembers again even if it is just a little bit.

  • Up the Creek

Can you get free stuff and promote it and that be a collaboration? Yes of course you can, but there are some things that you need to be aware of before you do that.

Look there is nothing wrong with accepting gifts or even accepting companies that send you stuff to try and review if you like it.  When you "end up the creek" is when you blur the lines between genuine interest in the item and just wanting them to keep coming in for nothing.

I talk about this and what to think about while you are deciding if this is a collaboration or just advertising.

I also give you 3 things to check out, just because I like them.

  • Bad wording

I pulled the original episode scheduled for this week because I wanted to share an important lesson about wording that turned into an overhaul, that turned into many hours researching, that turned into a college course.

Tune in to find out how I used a "simple" phrase from my childhood in my work that lead to me learning so much more then I could have imagined.

Thank you to Anne Hilb from Graymake for helping with our research and teaching us more about her valuable work in DEI.
