  • Foxy Digitalis Daily - July 7, 2023: Ben Chasny & Rick Tomlinson “Waves”
Of course this was going to be album of the day at some point here, but y’all knew that. Dream collaboration that is a bit unexpected (in a great way!) from a couple heavyweights. Plus new ones from Elizabeth Still and Eve Maret.

  • The Seltzer Salon #5: M. Sage
    M. Sage is one of the most generous and thoughtful artists. His new album, “Paradise Crick,” finds joy in sonic reverie, and getting lost in that world makes things feel a little brighter. This conversation about the album felt so good. After a rough morning, talking to Sage about whimsy, pleasure, and so much more, I felt so much better and refreshed. He and his work have that kind of effect on people.
“Paradise Crick” is out now on RVNG Intl.

The Seltzer Salon is a concise, conversational podcast hosted by Brad Rose and produced by Foxy Digitalis. Each episode features a musician, artist, writer, or anyone, really, focusing on a single project or idea. I know we all have limited time each day, so I wanted to do something a little smaller scale with just as much impact, so episodes will be 25-45 minutes in length.

  • Foxy Digitalis Daily - July 6, 2027: Yann Novak "Voice of Theseus"
Yann Novak’s work has been a fixture in my life these last few years, whether its solo music or Dragon’s Eye Recordings, but his new one, “Voice of Theseus,” caught me off-guard. Plus some quick appreciation for Siavash Amini.

  • Foxy Digitalis Daily - July 3, 2023: Meshell Ndegeocello “The Omnichord Real Book”
Today’s pick may be a little outside the usual zone Foxy Digitalis is associated with, but “The Omnichord Real Book” is an instant classic. Absolutely essential listening, and I hope anyone who follows FD checks it out. Plus, the schedule the next two weeks is a bit wonky, so more on that at the top of the show.

  • Foxy Digitalis Daily - June 30, 2023: Jeffrey Lamoureux "possible parallels"
Jeffrey Lamoureux’s “possible parallels” surprised me. I figured it was worth spending time with since it’s on Zekarias Thompson’s Working Name Studios, but it really resonated. Plus, Genot Centre signs off after eight years of incredible mayhem.

  • Foxy Digitalis Daily - June 29, 2023: Sharron Kraus "KIN"
I love to hear what the lifers are up to, and this recent one from Sharron Kraus does not disappoint. I don’t know if it’s really a plague record, but it feels like one to me, and I am 100% in for that. Plus a couple quick hits on two albums I’ve been digging a lot lately from Jantra and Lyonel Bauchet.
