52ndEpi - GW28 - Small haystack...smaller needle!

With only 4 FPL fixtures on offer this game week, finding viable options is like looking in a small haystack for an even smaller needle! Fortunately FPL community regular Sid joins all the way from India to help the surgeons find a range of players for this slender game week.

How many players are acceptable for GW28 is going to be the question on many of your lips? We discuss this with Side providing some great statistical insight into what you should be aiming for.

Liverpool appear the most tempting side on offer with a home fixture against a Burnley side that have been awful on the road. Who will you pick from their star front 3? Swansea's superstar front 2 in Siggy and Llorente have been tearing up the league in the last few weeks but should you double up and do the Swans provide any options at the back? Will the impressive and Everton and WBA fixture stick to form or offer little more than a deadlock? And do Bournemouth and West Ham offer anything more than a stalemate?

51stEpi - DGW27 - Pancakes with the FPL General!

It's pancake day and the resident surgeons have very different toppings following an eventful gameweek, where Kane's stock took a rise and Gareth McAuley continued his search for the golden boot! See who came out on top as the Iceman and Bully duel for chief Surgeon status!

You all loved the General so much (as did we) that we brought him back and as usual he makes some sound choices as well as raising a few names who may not have been in the thinking.

Following our bonus pod we discuss the developing potential of a Manchester City double game week, whilst keeping in mind the dilemma of a fixture baron GW28. All in or conservative you ask? Well tune in and find out on this weeks edition of the fantasy football surgery podcast!

*Apologies for sound quality in sections- internet was playing like Arthur Boruc this season!

50thEpi(b) - DGW27? - Commit to Pep?

SHOCK IN THE FPL UNIVERSE! Man City are just one win against Huddersfield shy of a double game week in 27! This news was announced shortly after episode 50 of the Fantasy Football Surgery was released so we thought it was important that we consider all the issues around this potential (and likely!) situation!

Who are the form players to pick for City? Do Stoke present viable options with their double game week potential? How heavily do you commit to an improving City side?

Bully and the Iceman consider this with a word of caution on an issue that is in no way as clear cut as it may seem! Tune in and listen back if you have not already to episode 50, part A and B of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast! #upthepod

49thEpi - GW25 - Rise again

Join the surgeons and guest FPL Chief (@FPLhints) to review the upcoming game week with all the fallout of a certain Belgium strikers 4 star antics! How has this affected the thinking when it comes to striker selection? What does this mean for a previous go to Argentine? Has he lost the love of the FPL community or is there still time for Sergio?

Striker chat is the theme for the week with so many options firing at the moment. Is it time to free up some much needed cash from the stuttering Arsenal's Sanchez?

Many of you have defensive questions with a focus on 5 million and under long term choices. We offer a range of options and consider their worth.

We review all the gameweek's fixtures, pick our captains and answer the call of social media in this week's Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast!

48thEpi - GW24 - Kun vs Jesus

Peter Blake from the FPL community joins the Iceman and Bully to review the midweek results and analyse the upcoming weekend. His statistical knowledge is impressive and he makes a number of great shouts with a few less obvious!

The big financial issue of the week is the expensive Kun's worth vs his prodigy/rival in Gabriel Jesus. Bully's financial argument is challenged by the Iceman's staunch position over the Argentinian!

There are a number of contenders for captain this week, and Peter makes a brave but well supported shout whilst the Iceman and Bully consider the usual suspects in Kane and Sanchez.

We discuss the potential impact of transfer deadline day and Crystal Palace feature heavily with their discussion. Swansea's activity is not met with quite the same excitement!

We answer your social media questions, review the mini league and begin the hype for the weekend on this week's fantasy football surgery podcast!

47thEpi - GW23 - captain conundrum

Join the surgeons with special guest Tom Campbell as all the upcoming game week hot topics are put to the sword! The panel are fairly agreed on the must have player for the coming game weeks is but do Spurs offer more essentials with their run of fixtures? A surprising admission by Gooner Bully suggests this may be the case!

TC is loving the Everton back line right now and he sparks a Baines vs Coleman debate, at a similar price but offering different skill sets, who will the panel settle on? Not interested in the full backs? Well we have many other defensive options in mind!

We all love a cheap fifth midfielder and the surgeons think a gem may be emerging in from the rough of the January transfer window! Will this one enable some big hitters in your side with the extra cash?

We announce our cup winner, review the mini league, answer your social media questions and exchange pleasantries on this edition of the Fantasy Football Surgery! Please join the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast league 17603-6718

46thEpi - GW22 - Hazardous Kun selection

The past weekend offered some absolute batterings in the BPL and Pep's City side are smarting from an Evertonian lesson. Should you keep hold of Kun or are there better priced options available?

Everyone has sat up and taken note of an ever more impressive Spurs side who put 4 past West Brom. Will Kane and co carry on this form against City?

Special guest Az, writer for FPL Scout and Twitter community regular, offers some great views and one or two differentials that your resident surgeons had not considered!

Is Costa worth backing? Are Saints the same team to rely on defensively? Is Antonio a low cost must have in midfield? Can you rely on Coutinho to quickly return to form? All this is discussed and your social media questions and our cup competition winner announced on this week's edition of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast! #upthepod

45thEpi – GW21 – with Yahoo writer FPL General

Stand to attention and take note as the surgeons become FPL battlefield medics with the FPL General. A thriving twitter account and regular on the podcast merry go round promise plenty of great advice added to the usual surgery knowledge bombs!

For the first time Kun's inclusion isnt guaranteed, and he bares the risk of suspension Guardiola continues to baffle with team selection. Is he essential?

Another hot topic is the return of Ake to Chelsea. Is this a cheap way into the rock solid blue backline or do FPL managers need to make a snap transfer? The Iceman offers a caution for owners!

We return to the discussion of great value defenders, midfield gems and which of the big hitters up to you need in your team. All this and we still find time to answer your social media questions on this military episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast! #upthepod
