This week on Franchise Today begins Encore Presentations from the Second Annual Franchise Legal Series. The series had been expanded to seven segments in 2011, up from four segments in 2010. In the series premier, Franchise Attorney, Lane Fisher joined Franchise Today host, Paul Segreto to discuss Financial Performance Representations, or as they are more commonly kown throughout franchising, FPRs. Also a guest on the first Franchise Legal Series on Franchise Today, Lane Fisher is a Partner at FisherZucker LLC and is extremely active within the International Franchise Association. Focusing on FPRs, Lane and Paul discussed non-traditionl FPRs, fear of including FPRs in FDDs, and FPR misconceptions by franchisors and attorneys alike. In addition, Lane and Paul also touched upon the International Franchise Expo and the IFA-hosted Small Business Lending Summit, both of which had occurred just prior to the legal series.
