"... When we come to remember the first of January, ... encased in our New Year's resolutions is the basic belief that we can change, we can start over, we can begin again. ... We live with the decisions we have made and with the things that have happened to us and at the same time it causes us to look to the future cause a new year reminds us that there is new hope, a new life, a new chance to begin again. ... Today we celebrate the Feast Day of Mary, the Mother of God. We listen to the scriptures say that she watched all these things happening to her and she reflected on them in her heart."
