Today I want to reflect with you about the nature and relationship between faith and doubt. The Christian life will encounter doubts. If you haven’t yet, then I’m pretty sure you will. But that is OK, in fact, I hope it does happen to you. Why would I hope that? Because, a faith that risks itself will encounter doubts. This theme has a powerful connection to our Gospel for this 3rd Sunday of Advent. Today John the Baptist, the greatest of all the prophets, encountered doubt in Jesus Christ. Let's reflect on this and see how our own doubts can become avenues to increase our faith.

My friends, Advent is a time of preparation...a time of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. What I mainly want to talk about with you today is the virtue of Hope. Brothers and sisters, what is your hope? What is your goal? Let's explore about this deep topic. Let's renew our hope in the eternal. Let's refresh our understanding of God's purpose in creating you and me, and our redemption in Jesus Christ and Him alone!

Advent is only two weeks away. Each time we near the end of the Liturgical year, we hear our Lord's teachings on the end times and the day of judgement. This Sunday the Church has its focus on Jesus’ final great discourse to the disciples on the threshold of his passion. The discourse is known as the Olivet discourse, because Jesus delivers it on the Mount of Olives. Let's unpack the Lord's very important message he has for us today my friends...

Sorry this is late, been a super busy week! Here's my first "introductory" homily as the new pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aspen, CO!

What an incredible blessing from our Lord, to be able to celebrate my last Mass for the Catholic Parishes of the Valley on this great Solemnity of All Saints Day. A day that should fill us with hope, as we celebrate our homeland, the place we are created to be for eternal life! Thank you Jesus Christ!
