There is nothing Satan hates more than the Cross. The cross is our path to victory. The cross is our path to the Resurrection. That's precisely why Satan tempts us to take the easy way out...and side-step the cross. Lent is a time where we accept the cross by denying ourselves and fighting against sin. This is our path to holiness.

God desires our happiness and our peace.  When we make someone or something else our "god," anxiety creeps into our heart and soul. Anxiety may be a sign to us that we need to turn back to Our Lord. He is the only One who can give us true peace.
