How does the spiritual world affect the physical world?All of these things are addressed within the liturgies of the 2019 Book of Common Prayer. The spiritual and the physical are brought together in an amazing way in these rites found in the prayer book and are understood through the prayers that are used.

What is marriage? What comes out of marriage? How do children relate to marriage? Why is this so controversial?The Prayer book teaches us what we should believe about marriage and children. It helps us to understand what the Bible teaches us about the reality and nature of holy matrimony. When we simply look at the service of Holy Matrimony and the Thanksgiving for the birth or adoption of a child, we discover that the Prayer Book reveals to us what marriage should look like and how we can become what God desires us to be in our married lives.

Is there a secret baptism to confirmation pipeline that needs to be exposed? Baptism and Confirmation are two services that complement one another in our life as Christians. They remind us of the need for the Spirit to be active in our lives and for him to come to us. In baptism the Spirit comes with the water through the putting of God's name upon the baptized and in confirmation, the Spirit comes through the laying on of hands from the bishop with prayers for the filling of the Holy Spirit. These practices continue to undergird and strengthen the faith of believers and enable us to walk more fully with Jesus throughout our days.#baptism #confirmation #theology #anglicantheology

What are the feasts that follow Christmas? Do you ever think about them? Did you even know that there are multiple feasts after Christmas that help us to understand the power of Christmas itself?

Don't be scared to celebrate Christmas. Regardless of where some of our traditions may have come, those origins don't matter. We are worshiping Jesus, the Lord and Savior, the Son of God made man! Though there is little historical precedent that our traditions came from pagan roots, it doesn't matter at this point. Our intention is not the pagan's intention. Any possible connections have been stripped and removed. This day is about Jesus and we should proudly proclaim his birth to the world that the world might know salvation through this Jesus.
