Frames and Fools: Film, Filmmakers, and Foolishness episodes

  • 1 | ‘THE LIGHTHOUSE’, BATMAN, & MAN BUTT

    **SPOILERS ABOUND**

Welcome to ‘Frames and Fools: Film, Filmmakers, and F**kery’! For our first episode we discuss Robert Eggers’ ‘The Lighthouse’ from A24 starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. It’s a menacing burn of a movie that takes place on a desolate spit of land off the coast of New England. Doldrums and an ample supply of drink push the two lighthouse keepers towards madness (and the ever-present light at the top of the tower...). Also thrown about: kidnapping, symbolism, and the male behind.

Give it a listen and let us know what you think!
