In addition to his athletic career, Francesco helped to found the Pro Trail Runners Association and is seen as a leader, advocating for a positive future for the sport and especially the pro athletes. Last week, Francesco put up an IG post explaining his rationale for not taking part in the GTWS final this month. We talk about that decision, using it as an entry point to discuss the balance between embracing new opportunities while preserving the spirit of trail.
