Frank Llosa is the founder of KetoneAid and they spin our a new company called Hard Ketones.

Hard Ketones will focus on an entirely new category of alcohol that is ethanol free.

Today all beer, vodka and wine are ethanol based. Ethanol converts in the liver to acealdyhyde, the toxin that creates hangovers and wrecks recovery. The ingredient in R 1 3 is called R 1,3-butanediol. It is a molecule that converts in the liver to D beta hydroxybutyrate, or ketones.

Unlike KetoneAid’s other performance enhancing drinks, the R 1,3 (pronounced R one three) is more of an after work drink and replacement for traditional ethanol drinks, while still getting a buzz. A buzz with benefits if you will.
