Welcome back to the podcast, I am your host Margaret Pendo and I have the honor of introducing you to Pat Tone. Pat Tone is one of the five founding members of Franklin University Switzerland and was there when the doors officially opened in 1970. Pat served as Franklin’s first president and later became the Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 2010 until 2017. Pat Tone has an inherent passion for the importance of good education and is a crucial contributor to the Franklin we know and love today.

Welcome back to the podcast, I am your host Margaret Pendo and I have the honor of introducing you to Kevin and Hannah McNeely. Kevin attended Franklin in the winter semester of 1973 as a study abroad student from Claremont Men’s College. After graduating Claremont in 1975 Kevin began working in the banking industry and then as a producer for ESPN. Eventually Kevin moved to Sonoma, where he currently resides and works as a founder of the Sonoma International Film Festivals. He also serves on the Board of Trustees and continues to help Franklin develop as a widely regarded international institution. Hannah, his daughter, currently attends Franklin and is in her third year. She is interested in studying Communications and Art. and can be found traveling around Europe in her free time.

Originally from Alaska, Helena just graduated from the Masters's program this May with a Masters's in International Management with an emphasis in Climate Action and Responsible Management. She has an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Helena is extremely team-oriented, adaptive and has a strong passion for working with communities and organizations that focus on disaster relief and emergency management.

Ralf is originally from Estonia and plans to graduate this December with a degree in International Management and Finance. In parallel with attending Franklin, Ralf is heavily involved in car racing. Ralf has been racing since 2010 and he recently began managing Prema’s Formula Regional European team.

Madeline graduated with honors in 2018 with two majors in both communications and media studies and international relations. Her interests include community development and she seeks to use her skills in communication to bring awareness about things she is passionate about. Madeline now works as a Communication Specialist at the Cassandra voss Center at St. Norbert College.

Evan spent two years at Franklin from 2005 to 2007 and then went off to finish her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Museum School. Dilan graduated in 2018 with a degree in International Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing as well as a minor in Communication. During his time at Franklin Dilan played an active role in community building as SGA president and also played midfielder on the Franklin Football team. Post graduation from, Franklin, Dilan continued living in Lugano and attended USI, graduating in 2020 with a Master of Science in Economics with a focus in Management.

Andrea graduated in this past May and is currently working as a family law paralegal to then eventually become a lawyer. Andrea was an active leader during her time on campus ranging from having LLLS positions, working and leading clubs as well as pursuing honors.
