  What is coveting? It is improper desire. It is the most subtle of the

  commandments because it can be broken without any outward action. But it is

  central to the breaking of the other commandments. They start with wrong

  desires. The opposite of coveting is generosity. As with all the

  commandments it reflects the character of God. God is the great generous

  one. We are to reflect him by being content and giving rather than always

  wanting more.
