There is indeed freedom in Christ but when it comes to flaunting it before others who don't fully understand their liberties, the love we are instructed to demonstrate towards them, may go straight out the window if we're not careful. Paul encourages us to have peace, acceptance and love at the forefront of our lives, even more than the ability to express our freedom in Christ.

This week we talk about Judgement, which Paul addresses briefly midway through Romans 14. Pastor Tim takes some time to discuss what judgement may entail, while asking the important question of whether you're ready to face it.

We are launching a new ministry at Fraser Coast Baptist this week! It will be an extension of the food pantry we currently have and will be more intentional about how we go about supporting those in Hervey Bay, who are struggling with affording the basic necessities of life.

Paul deals with issues within the 1st century church and it's amazing how 2000 years later, generally the same issue is around today. How are we to deal with people who think differently to us when it comes to doctrines that are non-salvific and practices that aren't sin?

Paul now turns the Christian's attitude and behaviour from not just the government but towards everyone we come across in society, namely our neighbour. May we be Christians whose outside behaviour always matches the inward reality that makes us a child of God!

It's a question that needs to be answered as we reflect on the last few years in Australia and maybe the future.

After studying Romans 12:21, it's an important question to answer when you read about overcoming in Revelation.

Paul concludes Romans 12 with practical issues surrounding the Christian's behaviour when it comes to outsiders, particularly those who endeavour to cause us havoc and sometimes even harm. All too often we become overcome by this evil. This message reminds us that we have the power to overcome and Pastor Tim encourages us how to utilise that power.

What would it be like if every believer at Fraser Coast Baptist Church did what Paul instructs here in Romans 12? One could just imagine!
