Zepf Center is a local non-profit that provides behavioral health and vocational services to youth and adults with severe and persistent mental illness in Lucas County. Services include child & adolescent psychiatric, medical, residential, and therapy services, as well as career development. The center and foundation are named for Toledoan Elizabeth A. Zepf, a staunch advocate for citizens with mental illness.

The walk is being established in honor of Shalonda and Steven Horton who lost their battle with addiction, and to honor and remember all of our loved ones that we have lost to addiction. We want this to not only be a family event, but a community event!

We invite all families, friends, co-workers..etc and the community to participate. We need to break the stigma of addiction through education and awareness. We cant think of a better way to honor our loved ones legacy!

Even though this is a memorial walk, we want to include everyone that has been affected by addiction. So if you have a loved one in recovery, we want to celebrate them too! If you have a loved one who is actively using, we welcome you to come as well and be informed and supported. We will have a vendor area set up with people from the healthcare field, mental health, and addiction and recovery community. We will also have the 2nd chance food truck there with awesome food!!

We will have several speakers, a short ceremony and a balloon release before the walk begins. Blair Caldwell from WTOL and Fox 36 will be our Emcee for the event.

The Ohio Flags of Honor Traveling Memorial honors the men and women of Ohio who have given their lives in service to their country.

2019 Rossford Walleye Roundup Tournament
Avid walleye anglers are invited to enjoy great fishing while competing for money and prizes at the third annual 2019 Bass Pro Shops Walleye Roundup, the fastest-growing tournament in the Great Lakes. The two-day tournament, scheduled for May 3-4, 2019 will be held at Bass Pro Shops and the Rossford marina. The event, which is expected to draw fishermen and their families from all over the Midwest, is being planned by the City of Rossford, the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau and Bass Pro Shops, the presenting sponsor. The Bass Pro Shops Rossford Roundup is open to all 2-person teams. Payouts are based on the number of entries. Fred speaks with Montrice Terry about the City Park League a group dedicated to giving city youth opportunities in sports and neighborhood clean up during the summer months. Groups of students meet each Saturday beginning in June at TPS schools to clean neighborhoods of trash while earning money. Beyond that, each year City Park League sponsors an annually basketball tournament that draws from city wide.

River View Yacht Club is a group of young men, who were interested in Outboard Racing, decided to organize an Outboard Racing Club for the purpose of putting on their own races and to better promote Stock-hydro Racing. This all began to take place in the fall of 1949. Some of the members who helped organize the Toledo Outboard Club (now known as River View Yacht Club) were: Al Perkins, Jim Owens, Buz Smith, Bob Fisher, Norm Ramstadt, Fritz Stoner, Erv Schwab, Charles Remele, Skip Hight, Jake Fredericks, Charles Ladd, Frank Hoffman and Les Tahl (who helped with the legal aspect of things).
