Did you know that God never makes you feel shame and guilt? the Bible tells us that Jesus did not come to the world to condemn us but to save us. So why do we feel shame? Why do we feel guilty? Why do we feel like we are not good enough? The truth is that we are not good enough, at least not good enough to be redeemed in God's eyes, yet Jesus is more than enough! the Bible tells us that Jesus nailed our sins to the cross. So when you feel ashamed, or not good enough...that's not God making you feel that way. Could be the other guy, could be you. Either way, stop it. You are loved...you are able to be redeemed and never feel like you are not enough again. Trust in Jesus!

This week we start a new series called "Take Heart!" What can you take heart in? Our Government? The News? Even yourself? The only person that will never let us down, the only one is Jesus! The Church is no longer our country's moral compass. Just a few decades ago when the church said something was wrong 90% of the people would agree. Those days are gone. We of course are not under the same persecution that the early church was, at least not yet. But unfortunately what we do have in common with some of those early churches is the fact that many have started to hide their faith. To be a Christian at church, maybe at home, but not at work. Many have stopped sharing their faith with anyone for fear of what may happen to them. Take Heart! Jesus has overcome the World, it is time we all do our part to spread the Good News!

Jude has been an awesome little book to study. It is full of so many amazing things. Remember Jude reminded us that we are to be on the lookout for false teachers, and false doctrines. These would not be obvious but sneaky. Because of this, we are to test everything. How does it hold up to the Bible? Do not be fooled by someone who attempts to take our eyes and hopes from the things that matter. Then Jude ends with the reminder of hope...that we are to have a great joy!

Jude gives some instructions to Christians to follow. These are not meant to be suggestions but rather the foundation of our Christian faith. Do you ever wonder what God's will is for you? While each of us has unique callings there are some universal things God tells us to do. For instance, we are to bring the Gospel or Good News to everyone we encounter. Jude even further describes the different types of people we are to reach. It is also important to note that nowhere in the Bible do we see any justification to turn our backs on or judge a sinner.

This week we look at the bulk of Jude, seeing the examples and reminders he provides Christians. The biggest is that there are consequences for your sin. Understand that he is not saying your sin will take away your Salvation. Scripture is very clear that once you accept Christ as your Lord, the price of sin is paid for (Romans 5:8). So he is not addressing you losing your salvation, but he is stating that if you dumb things there are consequences. If you are speeding, you still get a ticket. If you walk out in traffic, good chance you will get hit by a vehicle. A less tangible but more important consequence of sin is that you move farther away from God. When you feel God is distant, or when He just doesn't care, you have moved far from God. What does that? Our sin!

This week we start a new series called "Hey Jude!" Not that Jude from the Beatles, but one of the half-brothers of Jesus. He writes this letter to inform the people what it looks like to really follow Christ. What a Christian should look like. Not physically, not your hair, clothes, skin color, or body type. But more about the reasons why we should serve, love, and show compassion. This series will be a great way to see how we are doing in our service to God. Find out more by listening!

This week we finish up our series Words from the Cross. Jesus shouts out "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!" There is a LOT wrapped up in these last words, we will look at a few, one highlight is that Jesus "commits" or "trusts" even better and "entrusts" His spirit to God the Father. We need to trust God. Did you know that when you worry about something (we all do), you are not trusting God with what you are worrying about? When we go through dark times or life goes sideways, we need to trust God even more!

It is finished, or in Greek just one word, "Tetelestai!" This word has so many meanings, way more than 1 or 2, in this message you will find out the top 6.
