What should change when someone begins following Jesus?
In this message from Ephesians 4:17-32, we explore the difference between simply claiming change and actually living differently. The Apostle Paul challenges believers to leave behind their old way of life and fully embrace the new identity they’ve been given in Christ. Christianity isn’t about behavior modification or trying harder—it’s about transformation from the inside out.
Through practical examples, Paul shows how the gospel impacts everyday life: replacing lies with truth, anger with peace, selfishness with generosity, and destructive words with encouragement. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to stop wearing the “old jersey” of our former life and start reflecting the character of Christ in the way we think, speak, and treat others.
We’ll also discover what it means to grieve the Holy Spirit, why forgiveness is central to the Christian life, and how God’s grace becomes the model for our relationships with others.
If you’ve ever struggled to let go of old habits, old patterns, or old versions of yourself, this message offers both a challenge and a hope-filled reminder: because Jesus has made us new, we can live differently. Take off the old life, put on the new life, and let the world see Jesus in the way you live. www.movementcolumbus.com
