ABOUT THE EPISODE

Today is the first part of a 3-part series discussing shame and the journey of healing our shame with God. We discuss the spaces Father leads us through in our healing and how He awakens us to what it is that He wants us to bring to Him, and start to examine the stories we've made up about the experiences we've had.   We also discuss what Brene Brown says the differences are between guilt and shame, along with the topic of condemnation and the things we "sentence" ourselves to.   

These episodes are rooted in Genesis 3:10-11: He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” (NIV)  

This episode's intention is to have you explore your beliefs and invites you to start asking where they came from. Who told you the stories and things you believe about yourself, your life, others, and even God? And are these stories rooted in God's truth?

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Today I'm sharing how Free and On Fire got started, my prayer for how this show impacts you, give you a coaching exercise called "Pour it Out."  This is also the first time I share publicly, my own testimony of how God has transformed my shame around the abortions I had in my twenties, to reveal to me the calling on my life. I am that around me women are free - especially from shame. I know in my soul that our Father has planted blessings, miracles, and the call on your life hidden in the darkness of the shame you may be holding in your heart. It's time we release it into His loving Light so Jesus can pour His living water onto it and bloom it into something beyond what you can even imagine.
