It's so hard to be grounded in our identity if we don't even have a sense of where it really comes from. Sure, we hear people say "God is love" and "God loves you" and "You're a daughter of God" but what if we aren't really TRULY sure if that's God's words or just people saying that.
In this episode Jill shares about how to absorb God's own words in Scripture and know what God says about you.

In this episode we address one of the most common questions we get about joy - how do you keep your joy when you're surrounded by unjoyful people all day?
To help answer this question I brought in an expert - someone whose day to day contacts are often anything but joyful. Monica Dionisio is a family lawyer in Oklahoma City, OK and mostly handles challenging divorce cases. In this episode Jill and Monica chat about how Monica maintains joy even in the midst of some of the most challenging situations imaginable and takes intentional steps to care for herself so she can care for not only her clients but her family as well.
Frank Ramirez is a husband and father who endured one of life's most unimaginable sufferings - the totally unexpected loss of his ten year old daughter Maggie. In the years since, Frank and his wife Jenifer have built "Joyful Like Maggie" - a ministry that helps other grieving people to connect with resources to face their grief with hope and ultimately joy in the face of life's most difficult moments.
I hope you enjoy this episode, which is a part of our content series to mark Infant and Child Loss Awareness Month this October. Frank's story is one of unimaginable hope, redemption, and the unwavering presence of God.
Today's show is the first of a two part series we are doing to mark Miscarriage and Infant Loss Awareness Month, observed each October. Having had a miscarriage myself in 2018, I am passionate about this topic and giving women tools to walk through this challenge - whether it is your loss or the loss of someone you love.
Mary Thissen is a wife to Jaime of nearly 10 years and mom of two beautiful twin boys, Blaise and Gabriel. Mary and Jaime have four children in Heaven: Joseph, Therese, Gianna and Maximillian. Mary senses a call from God to share her story of loss in order to minister to the women, men and families who have lost their precious children and point them to the hope of Heaven. You can message Mary and follow her at https://www.instagram.com/waitingonmiracles/
