In this episode Claire sits down with Laura and Aaron from @parkingonthewildside to discuss their journey to thriving in Vanlife and building a social media presence to community of over 85 thousand people as an avenue to share their creative gifts. 

After years of working  minimum wage jobs, feeling like they weren't able to full put their creative talents to use or really have enough money to support themselves, they decided to try vanlife as a vehicle to move towards their dreams of off grid and creative living.  They talk about how living in a Van gave  them a chance to spend more time together creating music and art, and to learn about places they would want to live, about how to build tiny homes and begin practicing the day to day life off grid living. 

As part of this dream, they started creating content on Instagram looking to inspire others to pursue their own dreams as well as to cultivate a community seeking more whimsy and wild in their life. After two years of creating and a lot of trial and error and investing in their dreams, in the last few months they have grown from having a community of 15K to 85K. They share what that journey looked like, the things that really helped them in reaching that dream. They also talk about how they have chosen to give value to that audience, how they have stayed in integrity through that process and who as a result are now in turn  able to help support their dreams and talents in a way minimum wage jobs never could.  They discuss the duos most recent project: the handmade book 'Dreams of Whimsy and Wild'.  In this book they give incredible insight into the power and importance of consistently indulging your dreams, and they give some of the process of how this book came to life and how they showed up in indulging their dreams to getting to where they are now.
