We have become so task driven and career focused that we are willing to sacrifice our kids to build a life that God never intended us to build. You may believe you deserve to be worshiped for your accomplishments when in all reality at the end of the day your accomplishments mean nothing if they were achieved on the back of sacrificing your kids on an altar of ambition.

Living a life where you fully trust God will open you up to a lot of shame. Those around you will judge you for many reasons. Those reasons are irrelevant right now just know you will be subject to shame and ridicule.

It’s the pride, arrogance and complacent lifestyle that people choose to live that drives them to place shame on you for deciding to actually trust God. Don’t allow others arrogance and pride to discourage you.

Rest on the promise of Psalm 31:19-20 which says, “How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow on the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them, from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.

You either trust the Lord or you are clinging to worthless idols. Trusting the Lord doesn’t come by way of saying with your mouth, “I trust the Lord”. Trust can only be seen by your daily actions and decisions. For 30 years I said I trusted the Lord when in reality I only had faith in the Lord, if that.

I had faith that God was able to do more than I could ever ask, think or imagine. With that said I never fully abandoned all of the security nets I had in place just in case He didn’t come through.

I finally transitioned from having faith in God to trusting God. I have completely forsaken all and have hedged my existence on the fact that God has told me to trust Him. He has told me to trust that He can do more than I could ever ask, think or imagine.

The culture we have created in this nation has caused complete destruction concerning family. We aren’t killing our kids, then taking them before this statue and offering it as a sacrifice before this idol called Baal. We have become a little bit more advanced than that. We are sacrificing our kids on the altar of ambition.

The more and more our nation goes on I’m beginning to realize we have become so strategic at masking our sins. It’s not so raw like it was in the Bible days. I could make parallels that we are committing the exact same sins God’s people were committing in Jeremiah’s time. The exact same sins, on a massive level.

We’re called to be a voice of truth but one specifically to leaders. The leven of the culture has snuck in once again to the spiritual leaders and the teachings that flow through these churches. The world has normalized behaviors and addictions for spiritual leaders that simply are not acceptable in those leading God’s people. Our prayer is that those that hear this will stop where they’re at. Turn from the ways of the world and throw yourself at the feet of Jesus through radical devotion. Go all in on following Him. Hebrews 11:13 says - All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.

When you choose to live by faith you will begin to fell like your are a foreigner here on earth. Embrace it. Its the path paved by those outlined in Hebrews 11. Walk it with confidence!
