Freedom Church in Williston, ND

We talk about why spiritual maturity isn’t automatic like physical aging, and why access to more Christian content isn’t the same thing as transformation. The real shift happens when our lives start matching the truth of Scripture and the character of Christ, and that takes participation. We unpack Galatians 5:1 and the warning not to return to a yoke of slavery, then move straight into the question behind the question: what keeps someone from going back? 

A big answer is identity in Christ. If our confidence comes from money, career, approval, or comfort, we live on a spiritual roller coaster. But when Jesus is the source of identity, we become unshakable. From there we lay out a new way of life with simple discipleship habits: living by the Word of God, building a real prayer rhythm, choosing healthy relationships and community, seeking accountability without making it weird, understanding spiritual authority as responsibility, and walking by faith through serving. We also hit formation practices like creating margin, putting on the armor of God, becoming a worshiper, practicing generosity as surrender, resisting the devil by taking thoughts captive, and running forward because growth is direction, not perfection.
