Most entrepreneurs start their business for one reason:
Freedom.
Freedom to spend more time with their kids. Freedom to build wealth. Freedom to design a life they actually want to live.
But somewhere along the way, the business becomes a mistress.
It sits in the corner, quietly demanding attention while your family waits for scraps of your time and energy.
Chaz Wolfe refused to let that happen.
Raised by a single mom, Chaz learned grit, work ethic, and that no one was coming to save him. By 25, he'd left his six-figure corporate job to buy his first franchise. By 29, he owned seven locations across three states with 70 employees.
But he wasn't doing it well.
He was obsessed with his business—home every night, but not really present.
Today, Chaz is the founder of Gathering the Kings, a coaching community for family-driven entrepreneurs who refuse to choose between building wealth and building a legacy.
And he's learned the secret most entrepreneurs miss:
You don't lower your obsession with your business. You INCREASE your obsession with your family.
In this episode, Chaz shares:
→ Why he left a six-figure corporate job at 25 to buy a franchise (and why his family thought he was crazy)
→ The mistake most entrepreneurs make: Trying to compartmentalize work and family instead of integrating them
→ How to bring your business to the family table: Your kids should know how to celebrate wins AND navigate challenges with you
→ Why his 9 and 11-year-old daughters own an 8-location vending machine business (and how it's teaching them wealth principles, not entitlement)
→ The entitlement trap: 85% of wealth is first-generation, and most third-generation wealth is GONE. Here's how to pass on the torch without spoiling your kids.
→ The stat no one talks about: 1 in 3 children of entrepreneurs struggle with emotional regulation due to stress from the family business (Forbes)
→ Why entrepreneur kids feel "weird": They don't have friends who live like them—until you get them around OTHER entrepreneur families
→ The belief triad hack: You don't just believe in yourself and your product—you have to believe in your CLIENT (and why most entrepreneurs are accidentally being "mean salespeople")
→ His intentionality strategy: It's not about spending LESS time on your business—it's about being MORE intentional with your family (even 10 extra minutes changes everything)
→ The family mastermind vacation: How Chaz takes 32 families (150+ people) on a week-long retreat where adults learn legacy principles, kids learn entrepreneurship, and families build lifelong bonds
→ Why 20 families pre-registered for next year—without even knowing the location: "Just tell me when and where. I'll make my calendar work around it."
→ The college conversation: Why Chaz is teaching his kids to think, create, and OWN instead of defaulting to the "next step"
→ His daughter and the $100M vision: What happened when his 11-year-old asked about the "$100 million" on his dream board
Bottom line:
Your business should serve your family.
Not the other way around.
Wealth without legacy is just money that disappears in three generations.
But when you build WITH your family? When you teach them to think, create, and own?
That's generational impact.
ABOUT CHAZ WOLFE:Chaz Wolfe is the founder of Gathering the Kings, a coaching community and mastermind for family-driven entrepreneurs. Raised by a single mom, Chaz became a serial entrepreneur by 25, eventually owning seven franchise locations across three states. Today, he coaches entrepreneurs on how to build businesses that serve their families—not steal from them. He's married with four kids (who are already building their own businesses), and he hosts an annual family mastermind vacation where entrepreneurs, spouses, and kids learn together.

You're stuck in a W-2.
Making $20-30 an hour doing marketing, bookkeeping, sales, customer service—whatever your role is.
And you're thinking: "How do I replace this income and work from home?"
Here's the truth most people don't realize:
The skill you're doing at your job for $20-30/hour? Other businesses will pay you 2-3X that as a freelancer.
I learned this the hard way.
I was an office manager making about $23/hour—doing social media, bookkeeping, podcast production, overseeing sales... wearing ALL the hats.
Later, I found out businesses would pay me $1,000-$1,500/month JUST for social media management.
That was a fraction of what I was doing at my job—and nearly a quarter of my entire paycheck.
For ONE small task.
In this episode, I'm breaking down:
→ The bridge strategy: How to replace your W-2 income by freelancing your current skill from home (and why it's easier than you think)
→ The math behind $2K/month: You only need 2-4 clients paying $500-$1,000/month for a service that takes you 8-10 hours. That's $100/hour (way more than your W-2).
→ The scalable income model: How to turn your skill into a COURSE or digital product so you build it once and profit multiple times (this is where freedom lives)
→ Why $2K matters: It's not about stopping there—it's about proving the model WORKS. Once you hit $2K consistently, $4K, $8K, $10K is just duplication.
→ Product ladder strategy: If your main course is $400-500, you only need 4 customers/month to hit $2K. Add upsells or 1:1 coaching? Now each customer is worth $900-$1,200. You need even FEWER people.
→ The possibility mindset shift: When you understand what's POSSIBLE, you stop feeling stuck. You're not trapped—you just haven't seen the path yet.
→ Why "just four clients" changes everything: It's not a mountain. It's a small, achievable goal. And once you know how to get four, you can get eight. Then sixteen. Then the sky's the limit.
Bottom line:
$2,000/month might not pay all your bills.
But it's the PROOF that this works.
It's the bridge from "stuck in a job" to "building freedom."
And in a year? That's an extra $24,000.
Next year? Maybe $48K.
How fast could you replace your income if you had a system that was working—even on a small scale?
You can do this.
The math makes sense. The strategy is simple. You just need a plan.

Miriam Schulman swallowed the Kool-Aid.
The one that says artists can't make a living.
So she took the "practical route" and went to Wall Street.
But after surviving the 1993 World Trade Center bombing—and then watching 9/11 unfold while on maternity leave—she knew she couldn't go back.
Life was too short to keep working for a system that didn't value her humanity.
Today, Miriam is a self-representing artist for over 20 years, founder of The Inspiration Place, host of a top podcast for creative entrepreneurs, and author of "Artpreneur"—a book that's changing how creatives think about making money.
And here's the best part: Her strategies work for ANY creative business—not just artists.
In this episode, Miriam shares:
→ The dehumanization of Wall Street: Working through a terrorist attack because "you work no matter what" was the culture (and why she'll never go back)
→ Her #1 team value today: "Employees first" (the complete opposite of corporate culture)
→ How 9/11 became her sign from the universe: "That could have been me"—the moment she knew she had to walk away
→ The myth she had to unlearn: That you need fancy packaging, thousands of sales, or a "perfect" business before you can launch (spoiler: you don't)
→ The Belief Triad: Believe in yourself, your product, AND your client (most people miss that third one—and it's costing them sales)
→ Why you're being a "mean salesperson" without realizing it: Not offering your most expensive option because you assume they can't afford it? That's YOU deciding they're not worth it.
→ What your customer is ACTUALLY thinking when they hesitate: It's not "Is this worth it?" It's "Am I worth investing $10,000 in MYSELF?" (This shift changes EVERYTHING about how you sell.)
→ The L'Oréal hair dye lesson: They didn't sell ingredients. They sold "Because I'm worth it." THAT'S the message that moves people.
→ Embrace your inner weirdo: There's no money in the middle. If you're not polarizing, you're invisible. (1-3% will hate you, 1-3% will LOVE you—and that's exactly what you want.)
→ Pick ONE mountain: You can't get to the top if you're running three businesses at once. Master one thing at a time (even Picasso did this).
→ Her income journey: $8K the first year, $24K the second—it took years to hit $60K and beyond. Your business is a BABY. You have to nurture it.
→ Why your brain sabotages your dreams: It can't tell the difference between "leaving the cave and getting eaten by a tiger" and "starting a business." So it creates stories (not excuses—STORIES) to keep you safe.
→ TheWhat-If Parade flip: Spend as much time imagining the POSITIVE outcome as you do catastrophizing. At least balance it out.
Bottom line:
You don't need perfect branding, a fancy website, or thousands of followers.
You need to believe in your customer.
You need to embrace what makes you WEIRD.
And you need to pick ONE thing and master it.
Creativity isn't just for "artists." It's for ALL of us.
And yes, you CAN profit from it—without starving.
ABOUT MIRIAM SCHULMAN:Miriam Schulman is the founder of The Inspiration Place, a podcast and coaching program for creative entrepreneurs. She's been a self-representing artist for over 20 years and is the author of "Artpreneur," which teaches creatives how to profit from their work using her Passion-to-Profit system. After leaving Wall Street post-9/11, she built a thriving art business and now coaches artists and creatives to do the same—without the starving artist struggle.

When Aaron Krause, founder of Scrub Daddy, showed up on Shark Tank, he had nothing but a prototype.
No fancy packaging.
No major branding.
Not hundreds of thousands in sales.
Just an idea and an example of it.
And Lori Greenberg invested $200,000 anyway.
Why? Because she saw the POTENTIAL, not the perfection.
Today, Scrub Daddy has done over $670 MILLION in sales—making it the most successful Shark Tank product ever.
Here's the kicker:
The Scrub Daddy you buy at Target today is NOT the same product Aaron pitched. The packaging changed. The colors changed. The product line expanded.
He iterated based on what customers wanted.
If Aaron had waited for perfection, someone else would've launched first.
And the same is true for you.
In this episode, we're breaking down:
→ What you DON'T need to launch: Perfect website, professional branding, a 12-module course, thousands of followers, months of preparation (spoiler: none of it)
→ What you DO need: A clear transformation, a framework, your first offer, a way to deliver it, a way to get people in, and the right mindset
→ The mindset shifts that matter: Be curious (not perfect), launch in beta mode, stay playful in your strategy
→ What to do when things don't go as planned (because they won't): Offer a bonus, launch with beta pricing, build in flexibility, communicate transparently
→ The 7 steps to launch: Get clear on your transformation, define your framework, create your first offer, build your lead magnet, launch in beta, collect feedback, rinse and repeat
Bottom line:
Investors don't invest in perfection—they invest in POTENTIAL.
Customers don't buy perfection—they buy TRANSFORMATION.
Your first version will NEVER be your final version.
So stop waiting. Start launching.

You're hustling.
Posting in other people's groups. Commenting on every thread. Inviting everyone you can find.
And sure, you get a few people into your Facebook group.
But now you're exhausted.
And you still have to spend all that energy keeping them engaged.
There's a better way.
In this episode, I'm breaking down how to build a SYSTEM that consistently drives traffic to your community—without the hustle, without the spam, without burning out.
Here's what you'll learn:
→ Why "hustle culture" group growth doesn't work (and what to do instead)
→ The automated funnel strategy: Lead magnet → Bonus invitation to your group → Email list. You're growing your community AND your email list at the same time.
→ The gap I had for YEARS: I never invited my podcast guests to my group. Don't ask me why. But once I started? Game changer.
→ A podcast strategy you've never considered: Feature people who are your IDEAL CLIENT and invite them all to your group (brilliant, right?)
→ Why tracking your group growth is non-negotiable: If you're not watching the numbers weekly, your group won't grow. When you track it, it stays top of mind—and you'll course-correct when it dips.
→ The difference between a burst of energy vs. a system: Getting 100 people in one week because you hustled is NOT the same as consistently adding 10-20 people every week through automation.
Bottom line:
Your business will be successful when you have SYSTEMS in place that consistently grow your audience.
Not hustle. Not burnout. Systems.
Stop begging people to join your group. Build a process that brings them to you.

Jerry Brazie grew up in abject poverty.
Six kids under five years old. No washer. No dryer. A mother who slept every other day for a decade.
By 14, Jerry was stealing food with his little brother—secret pockets in their coats, stashing Snickers bars just to survive.
At 17, he was living with hookers and heroin addicts in a $25-a-week flophouse.
Most people would've stayed stuck.
But at 14 years old, after getting beaten nearly to death and left bleeding under a bus stop, Jerry heard a voice:
"Everything is your fault. Whatever you do going forward, this is all on you—or you're gonna end up like them."
That moment changed everything.
Today, Jerry has built and sold dozens of businesses, generated over $450 million in revenue, and is launching The Kronos Group—a peer-to-peer mastermind for entrepreneurs who want straight talk, no BS, and real solutions.
In this episode, Jerry breaks down:
→ The two epiphanies that saved his life: "Everything is your fault" at 14, and "Shut up and listen" at 28
→ Why his first son being born was the real catalyst (he decided his kids would NEVER grow up the way he did)
→ How he escaped generational poverty (and why "the hood" tries to drag you back down)
→ The $10/hour job offer that changed his career (and the street-smart negotiation that got him a $45K salary six months later)
→ Why he's never done ANYTHING he's passionate about—until now (and why "follow your passion" is terrible advice)
→ The truth about passive income: If someone's selling you a "set it and forget it" business model, ask yourself why they're not doing it themselves
→ How he lost $10 MILLION on mistakes (and why he kept going anyway)
→ Why you CAN have a successful business AND a successful family (he's been married 28 years, worked 18-hour days for a decade, and still put his kids to bed every night)
Bottom line:
When you come from nothing, nothing scares you.
When you believe everything is YOUR fault, you have all the power.
When you're willing to risk it all because "what's the worst that could happen?"—you become unstoppable.
This episode is raw, real, and unpolished. And that's exactly why you need to hear it.
ABOUT JERRY BRAZIE:Jerry Brazie is the founder and CEO of The Kronos Group, a peer-to-peer mastermind for entrepreneurs. Over his 30+ year career, he's built and sold dozens of businesses across transportation, real estate, car washes, convenience stores, and more—generating over $450 million in revenue. He's been married 28 years, raised three kids, and lost (and rebuilt) multiple fortunes. Now he's helping entrepreneurs navigate the messy, unglamorous reality of building a business that lasts.

You built the group.
Maybe you even have members.
But no one's engaging.
And it's exhausting.
This is the thing that burns people out the most—they've got the group, they might even have a lot of members, but they can't get people to actually participate.
So what do you do?
In this episode, I'm sharing what I've learned from the BEST groups I've ever been part of—and what made them work.
Here's what we're covering:
→ Why pop-up groups work (and what you can learn from the challenge/contest model—even if you're not doing a live launch)
→ The secret to real engagement: It's not about YOU talking to them. It's about getting THEM to talk to EACH OTHER.
→ How to structure your group so it doesn't fizzle out (intro posts, accountability pods, weekly themes, and gamification)
→ The promotion problem: Why "post your stuff anytime" groups turn into spam—and what to do instead (hint: specific promo days)
→ My biggest mistake: I started a group, it was great for a while, then I lost focus and it became a dud. Here's what I'd do differently.
→ The hardest part of running a group: Getting people to build relationships with each other (not just with you)
→ How to keep showing up consistently without burning out: Map out your plan, but stay curious and flexible. Double down on what gets traction.
Bottom line:
A group without engagement is just a graveyard.
But a group where people connect with EACH OTHER? That's gold.
Be serious about your commitment. Be playful in your approach.
Commit to showing up. But stay curious about what actually works.

Kalen Cotto lost everything.
Her marriage ended. Her clients disappeared. Her business name didn't make sense anymore.
She was a single mom with a 3-year-old, waiting tables in the morning and doing client work at night—just trying to keep the lights on.
Most people would've quit.
But Kalen didn't.
She rebuilt. Twice.
Today, she's a fractional CMO, founder of KMC Digital, and author of The Revenue Runway—a book about the mindset shifts that actually move the needle in business.
In this episode, Kalen gets brutally honest about:
→ Why she became an "accidental entrepreneur" (and how a BlackBerry attachment and a baby on the way changed everything)
→ The moment she lost every client during her divorce—and why she didn't let it end her
→ Why she went BACK into the workforce twice (and why that's not failure—it's strategy)
→ The lies being sold about "glamorous entrepreneurship" (and why your bank account going red is normal when you're building)
→ Why The Revenue Runway isn't a marketing book—it's a mindset book (because skills aren't the problem)
→ The 3 pillars you need to nail before anything else: your offer, your avatar, your message
→ Why she tells startups NOT to build a website first (and what to do instead)
→ What a fractional CMO actually does (and how interviewing a company's team reveals everything)
→ How to land corporate clients without being intimidated by their size (hint: they're just people with problems)
Bottom line:
Entrepreneurship isn't glamorous. It's messy, hard, and full of setbacks.
But if you don't quit? You learn. You grow. You rebuild.
And eventually, you win.
If you're in the middle of the mess right now, this episode is for you.
ABOUT KALEN COTTO:Kalen Cotto is a fractional CMO, founder of KMC Digital, and author of The Revenue Runway. With 15 years in marketing and a background in military public affairs, she helps established businesses optimize their marketing strategy and startups nail down their offer, avatar, and message. She's a mom, a bootstrapper, and a firm believer that mindset—not tactics—is what separates those who quit from those who scale.
