There are 2 groups of people who listen to the parables taught by the Master ...

1. those who have “been granted to know” the mysteries of the Kingdom,

2. those who were intrigued but really didn’t want to know... “while seeing, they don’t see and hearing, they don’t hear, nor do they understand... there hearts are dull.”

This is a picture of our country today, people hear but don’t pay attention, they see but ignore the truth. As we head in a path of destruction people don’t seem to care. But those who have been granted to know the mysteries of the Kingdom are responsible to take that message to whomever will hear.

As we read through the parables of Jesus we gain a broader understanding of the Kingdom of God. The church, as important as it is, is not the Kingdom. Our perspective of the church must not decrease however our view of the Kingdom needs to increase.

To many in Christianity today there is a great misconception concerning the Kingdom of God and it is this...joining the Kingdom and joining the church is the same thing. But the church, as important as it is, is not the Kingdom. Beyond all that God created there is still the Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is much bigger than the church itself. John 1 tells us that all things were created through Jesus and by Jesus. He is determined to take it all back and it is our great privilege as the church to go forth with the message of the Kingdom throughout the world.
