One of the best things we can do is remain dedicated to the Lord through hardships! When things don't turn out our way and we remain faithful to the Lord, we prove beyond a doubt that we're dedicated solely to Him. We look to the Bible for examples of what it looks like to remain dedicated to the Lord through hardships. Our hope is that your faith and dedication to the Lord would be strengthened today!

What is the action of dedicating something to the Lord? What does it look like? What do we experience? In this message, we explore the answers to these questions and also the purpose of dedication in this message. Our hope is, you would see that God has empowered us to live dedicated lives to the Lord until we see Him face to face! You don't want to miss this second message in our 3-part series on Dedication!

In Matthew 2, we see what made the wise men so wise: they came to worship Jesus! This message explores the story of the wise men and Herod, and ultimately shows us why we should follow their example. Our hope is you would come and worship Him, too!!!

As we finish our series on Family, we study a passage that commands us to "keep loving one another earnestly"! This isn't a suggestion; it's a command to a new way of living with each other. As Christians, and the family of God, it's in our DNA to love one another. When we love, we live in our true destiny!

Discussion Questions

1 Why is loving each other so important to God? Why is this, above all, the first trait of the family of God?

2 Does loving one another prove we are not of this world? Explain why.

3 What does “eschatology” mean? In what ways does loving each other prepare us for the end times/Jesus’ return?

4 What are some different reasons that loving others points them to Jesus?

5 Will YOU commit to loving the family of God earnestly? (Hint: the answer should be “yes”)

As Christians, we need to fully understand the blessings and promises we inherit by being fellow heirs with each other AND with Christ! What are these blessings? How do we step into them? By believing what the Bible says about them!

Discussion Questions

1. Have you ever viewed yourself as adopted? What positives/benefits that you can think of are involved with adoption?

2. "Fellow Heirs" inherently uses language that refers to family. What are some of the blessings we have access to now that we are heirs? Are any of these familial/communal?

3. What was the hostility that previously kept us from being sons of God and brothers with one another? What are some consequences of said hostility? (Jesus was so passionate about this, that He literally had to KILL it with its consequences!)

4. What things come to mind when thinking about the "full promise of Christ"? Do you live in it fully? Explain your answer.

We are the family of God! For this reason, how we treat each other is of the upmost importance. Listen as we study why family was important to Jesus, and why treating each other well is vital to Christian growth and maturity!

1. Does Scripture confirm that we are the family of God? Can you think of some examples or themes?

2. In Matthew 12:49-50, what was it for Jesus that made others the family of God? Does this help us identify who is family today?

3. What is some tangible proof that we have become children of God? What traits to we see in our lives? (John 1:12-13)

4. What is the main ingredient in how we treat each other? Do you see it in Romans 12:9-18?

5. Discuss any other aha moments you had that has not been mentioned.

We kick off our series on Family in the right place: The Table! The table is where life takes place. It's a place where spiritual formation happens. The table is unavoidable. We hope and pray you see it's at the table where Jesus is revealed in a more intimate way!

Why have we spent so much time in our series on Foundations? Because no matter what you are doing in life, no matter what you believe, you are building upon the foundation.
