God cares about what we do with what we have been given! Physically, spiritually, financially, etc., we should be aware that what we identify with with testify....what will that testimony be?
God holds tomorrow, and this life is just a vapor. These words ring true every single day and are a helpful reminder to follow what God would will every day. James chapter 4 gives us wisdom on judgment and the Lord's will.
James confronts the church about battles, wars, and quarrels in the church stemming from our own desires. A reminder to humble ourselves before the Lord and draw near to God keeps our hearts and minds where they should be. Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbor as yourself.
There is a Biblical definition of wisdom and foolishness, and a worldly definition as well. As Christians, we live by the Bible's standards, therefore we look to Jesus and His Holy Word for wisdom that comes from above.
James reminds us that our words yield much power and influence! Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, therefore we must be careful with what we say as Christians. Are we building or are we destroying?
Faith without works is not biblical faith, and works without faith is not biblical faith. We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone. Listen in as we talk about the theological agreements between Paul and James.
James chapter two calls us to never play favorites as the body of Christ because our Lord Jesus died for everyone. In fact, success lies in the hands of God alone, and we mustn't dishonor God's choice of calling the poor.
The latter half of James one gives us some practical ways to live out our faith. Journey with us as we discuss faith, hearing, and speaking.
The book of James gives us very clear instructions on how to make our faith alive! Join us as we talk about the importance of trials and gifts according to James, chapter one.
One of the gifts God has given us with the resurrection of Christ is peace. Join us today as we share about the peace of God.
