So jealous is God our Savior for us that he established a law in Israel, called -the law of jealousies- -v. 29-, to show us how he who -hateth putting away- keeps his beloved from leaving him.

2Co 11-1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly- and indeed bear with me.-2Co 11-2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy- for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.-2Co 11-3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.-2Co 11-4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.------------------------------------------------1Ti 1-15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners- of whom I am chief.

Act 5-27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council- and the high priest asked them,-Act 5-28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name- and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.-Act 5-29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.-Act 5-30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.-Act 5-31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.-Act 5-32 And we are his witnesses of these things- and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.-Act 5-33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
