This was the last feast, the feast by which the year was brought to its final conclusion. It speaks of that time John describes in Revelation 10. When the Lord Jesus, the mighty Angel of the Covenant shall have fulfilled all the purpose of God, when he shall have fulfilled everything written in the book of divine predestination, he shall come again, make all things new, lift his hand to heaven, and declare - -Time shall be no more. The mystery of God is finished- -Revelation 10-1-7-.

1Pe 4-12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you--1Pe 4-13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings- that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.-1Pe 4-14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye- for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you- on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.-1Pe 4-15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.-1Pe 4-16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed- but let him glorify God on this behalf.-1Pe 4-17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God- and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God--1Pe 4-18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear--1Pe 4-19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

What do you think of when you hear David's name- For most people, I suspect the first thought, that comes to mind when David's name is mentioned, is adultery and murder. David took another man's wife, committed adultery, and had the man whose wife he had taken killed. What a horrible blight upon the name of such a remarkable man- But it is written in the Scriptures for our learning and admonition, -that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope- -Romans 15-4-. So I want to talk to you very plainly about David's sin and his righteousness.

Rom 3-9 What then- are we better than they- No, in no wise- for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin--Rom 3-10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one--Rom 3-11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.-Rom 3-12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable- there is none that doeth good, no, not one.-Rom 3-13 Their throat is an open sepulchre- with their tongues they have used deceit- the poison of asps is under their lips--Rom 3-14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness--Rom 3-15 Their feet are swift to shed blood--Rom 3-16 Destruction and misery are in their ways--Rom 3-17 And the way of peace have they not known--Rom 3-18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.-Rom 3-19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law- that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.-Rom 3-20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight- for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
