How do people make purchasing decisions? 

Value must stay above price. 

People who bought once and don’t buy again is the moment value dips below price that is the point of cancellation. 

Most mediocre businesses are below that point and have to continually find new customers. 

They only make 1 sale per customer. 

Repeat business needs to be exceptional and remarkable. 

So good that people talk about you. 

Existing product is not that good.  

1. Hard way. Lower price. You can only go down to 0. 
2. Easy way. Increase perceived value to customers and prospects. Niching down and positioning offer to book out. You can go infinitely high this way.  

The goal is to sell dollars at a discount. So that customers and prospective perceive the best possible return on their spend with you per dollar.

The Need to Earn Budget Your minimum to make ends meet. I walk you through creating a detailed Excel breakdown of every fixed cost you pay more than once, calculated with precision "almost to two decimal places." This is your financial floor — the number below which your business isn't sustainable.

The Want to Earn Budget Your Need to Earn plus retirement savings. This calculation accounts for the reality that one day you won't be generating operating income, so you need to build that security now, not later.

The Traffic Light Rate Indicator A simple system for evaluating every project opportunity:

• Green Light Rate: Your target rate that enables you to earn like a paid employee while covering taxes and social security
• Amber Light Rate: Acceptable but not ideal; use sparingly
• Red Light Rate: Your absolute minimum "I don't get out of bed" rate; the line you never cross
