Hitchhiking from Mississippi to Florida went well, with good friends in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale at the other end. A flight from Miami to Puerto Rico then kicks off the next adventure. Hitchhiking from Mississippi through Georgia to North Carolina, then deciding to angle up to Indiana and Michigan before dropping back south again. Along the way Kenny stays with people he meets at a bar, gets a ride from a murderer, brews some beer and finally gets his hot chicken in Nashville.

Driving a friend's car from San Diego to New Orleans, Kenny pauses only in Phoenix, Albuquerque and briefly in Texas for an unfortunate speeding ticket. After some good times in New Orleans and BivyPack sewing in Mississippi, it's time to move on.

Liz Stewart disappeared from Alabama on 4/20/2018, leaving people in Mobile feeling confused and angry on a day that was supposed to go down as a historic turning point in Marijuana reform. Over a year later, I've tracked her down. Her story, which she was finally willing to share, goes far beyond the botched Marijuana March she organized and then canceled without explanation. It begins with loneliness, then a viral surge of unexpected attention ranging from false companionship, stalkers, death threats and political targeting. She reacted with addiction, debauchery and ultimately panicked desertion. Over the next year — hidden from the public eye — knotted guilt and unpacked emotions fueled her addictions further until she finally crashed to the inevitable bottom. This is her candid story of trauma, recklessness, crashing, and metamorphosis.
