It’s time once again to try my hand at mixing Power787Radio.Com‘s TOP 5 POWER SONGS: DECEMBER 2023. This month’s mix sees two new artists on the Top 5 Power list.

Nelson Rego is no stranger to countdowns, having appeared on The Countdown Showdown mixes: TOP 23 FREESTYLE SONGS OF 2023, 10 TOP FREESTYLE SONGS OF MARCH 2023, and 10 TOP FREESTYLE SONGS OF FEBRUARY 2023, just to name a few.

TKA/K7 is a top-tier legend that needs no introduction to any Freestyle fan. This month, Power 787 Radio selected a lesser-known song but no less brilliant than their well-known hits. Love Goes On ” from the album with the same title was released in 2016. Its uplifting, positive message will definitely have you tapping your feet and feeling good.

In this episode of The Freestyle Club – Give Me Pellas – Episode 2, we invite a member of our listening audience to pick a topic for discussion.  Join Radio Personality CPR Jose Ortiz, Life Long Freestyle Fan and Former DeeJay – DaUnknownAdmin, and special guest, DJ Bryski, as they discuss the Topic of The Week.

In this week’s episode, we explore the various reasons for and against having multiple versions of a track upon its release. Traditionally, Freestyle songs were released with various versions on vinyl. Versions such as Accapellas, Synthappellas, Dubs, and Bonus Beats.

Fast forward to today, and Freestyle songs are typically released with only one version. There seems to be a correlation between the trend of vinyl losing its popularity to other forms of media, e.g., CDs, MP3s, and even streaming, and producers just releasing radio edits.

We bring in DJ Bryski to share his experience as both a Deejay and a Producer. Listen in as he goes into details as to why he likes to have multiple versions of a track, utilizing them to express his creativity on the turntables.

He then changes hats to discuss the processes involved in creating the different versions of a song from the Producer’s side. Bryski shares the methods he employs to simplify the process of creating multiple versions from a single track.

DJ Homer Jay was a member of the original Freestyle.FM since Aug 27, 2005. He wouldn’t call himself a DJ in the traditional sense, but rather a Mixologist. Chuck doesn’t use the traditional deejay setup of two turntables and a mixer to make his mixes. He uses technology to his advantage to create his Freestyle Music Mixes.

DJ Homer Jay has taken part in many of our DJ Battle series. DJ Homer Jay Freestyle Music Mix submissions prove that you don’t have to be an old school Dee Jay to put out quality mixes. His passion for Freestyle Music and knowledge of mixing structure come through loud and clear in his mixes. Which is probably why he can also provide an excellent critique of mixes, providing constructive criticisms and positive motivation for other Dee Jays.
