Pastor Jeff Davis was led to preach from Phillipians 2:12 about our individual responsibility to prioritize our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. One of the primary ways you can do that is to be painfully honest with yourself. The Holy Spirit that lives "in you" will show you the right path, will you choose to follow Him or your own way? No one can choose for you, you have to do it for yourself. 1 Chronicles 29:17 I know, my God that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. Our choices lead directly to the prosperity we experience in Christ. Coming from Deuteronomy 13, today's message focuses on cutting out those that seek to separate us from God. God has given all of us the freedom to choose whom we follow. By choosing Him though, we are being wise in our choices.

As Christians we should be enjoying healthy and functional relationships. The primary premise for this is to consider others before ourselves. This is very difficult to do without understanding how our God loved us. He considered us above all else when he sent Jesus to die for us, yet while we where in sin. Romans 5:8 Selah

In today’s society, people are not committed to being about God’s business. God’s business is not easy! It can be hard sometimes but it is ALWAYS fulfilling. If you will allow God to transform you, you will grow continually in your walk with Christ. Even Jesus grew so must we! Luke 2:52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. On Sunday, we learned that we are called to teach the Gospel through Christ Jesus. We often are hampered by questions like, "am I good enough?" or "am I qualified?" Verse 2 tells us that we are all qualified through Christ Jesus. He can use all of our strengths and abilities and where we are week, He is strong. We are always teaching somebody else because someone is always watching. Whether we are teaching the gospel or teaching sin, we are teaching something. When we do sin, know that God does not condemn us. When we reflect on and repent of our sins, we are on the right path for following God. Selah.

Pastor Jeff was led to preach from 2 Timothy 1:7 emphasizing that timidity is not a spirit driven personality trait for Christians. He admonished us to encourage one another to be bold in declaring that we are believers of the Lord Jesus Christ. This boldness is derived from the fact that God's power is at work in us. (Ephesians 3:20) We understand that we can not do anything in and of ourselves but through Christ all things are possible. Additionally, he highlighted that everything should be done in love. For it was the immense power of love that moved God to send Jesus to die for our sins. 1 Corinthians 16:14 Let everything be done in love. Selah

Pastor Jeff was led to preach from Joshua 1 emphasizing that our God always finishes what he starts! He has already given us the victory, we just need to walk in the courage he has put within us. This courage focuses on three primary areas. We must be courageous about God's promise, power and presence. And, this courage emerges from His word. This is how we validate God's plan for our life. Pastor Jeff was led to preach from Matthew 6:1 encouraging us to determine our true motivation for all types of giving. He asked the simple question, "Why do you do what you do?" As Christians we understand that our "reward" for good works done in secret will be far above what we could ever expect in return. In fact, in today's world, acceptance and "likes" are vastly important. However, we should only be concerned about "one" acceptance or "like," our heavenly Father's, which is the true path to gaining the approval of others. FreeWay celebrated Independence Day via a Zoom service. Pastor Jeff was led to talk about "True Freedom." He asked the question, "Are you free? How do you know?" As Christians we understand that true freedom does not mean that you can do whatever you desire. Our freedom is rooted in the premise of Galatians 5:13, "You my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather serve one another humbly in love." Therefore, one of the ways we are able to validate our freedom is to strive to help others achieve and walk in that same liberty. Selah
