Money is one of those funky topics that tends to lead to uncomfortable conversations. But Why? A large reason for the awkwardness is the lack of communication when it comes to finances. People don’t like to talk about money.

In this episode we’re talking all things money & marriage, from joint bank accounts to prenuptial agreements. The bottom line is, it’s important to be on the same page as your partner, whatever that may mean for you two.

As Alycia says, money comes and money goes, it cannot be your source of happiness. Try to live within your means and do not let it be the thing that defines your relationship.

Friendships can be complicated, much like any other relationship in your life. Over the years, we’ve learned to accept that some friendships may fizzle as life changes. When you get married it may be more difficult to remain friends with the same people you were friends with when you were single. Then when you have kids, it can make it even more tough. 

Having friendships with people that you can relate to is important. Maybe that means being able to understand what the day to day of being a mom is like or maybe that means being able to understand what working a 9-5 M-F is like.

Ever have an epiphany, it can be pretty powerful and eye opening. Even the small ones can make a big difference. As parents we may struggle to find our rhythm but once we do it is pretty rewarding. 

Okay, real talk..how does one end a friendship? It may sound harsh but for one reason or another I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been through some version of a friendship ending. There’s this old saying, “There are 3 kinds of friends in life, friends for a reason, friends for a season and friends for a lifetime” once we accept this truth, it is easier to let go of those that are only meant for a reason or season. We’re giving insight on the reasons for possibly ending a friendship and how to go about it.

Being pregnant for some can be quite magical, I imagine. For us, not so much. It just wasn’t our thing, and that is OK! That doesn’t mean we’re not grateful for the babies pregnancy brought both of us, we just don’t want to do it again. ha. Thinking about never being pregnant again is strange. The first time you have sex can be really emotional, at any point in your life. The first time you have sex post birth is no exception. In this episode we’re sharing some of our own personal experiences and the experiences of our viewers as we navigated the first time being intimate after giving birth. The main thing to remember is that time heals all, including the parts you never think will be the same.

Have you heard of Secondary Infertility? If not, generally speaking it is the inability to become pregnant or carry a baby to term after you’ve already had a baby. Apparently, it’s more common than you’d think. 

Additionally, Alycia gets candid about her miscarriage story. Jana has never experienced a miscarriage so there’s a lot of listening, learning and questions, so many questions. Alycia doesn’t hold back, as she shows no fear while being honest about her history. 

Life is a compilation of happy, sad, scary and exciting moments. It’s how we live through those moments, how we grow from them that defines us. Life is crazy, creating life is crazier, and bringing life into this world is the craziest.
