Kingdom: The reign and rule of God through his son Jesus Christ, consisting of the people of God made righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ.

What is the mission of the church? This week we wrapped up our Kingdom series talking about what our primary mission is as kingdom citizens. That although doing good for others is a very good and biblical thing, the Kingdom of God only comes through the proclaiming of the gospel and people repenting and turning to God.

When Jesus talks about the ‘Kingdom of God’, what he means is the “reign and rule of God through is son Jesus, consisting of the people of God made righteous by the blood of Jesus.” Jesus gave everything so we could be in his kingdom and be his people. In light of that, God is calling us to be a reflection of Jesus, “kingdom citizens”. Matthew 5 gives us a great reflection of what kingdom people should look like and be like.

Jesus talks about the "Kingdom of God" more than he talks about anything else, but what does that really mean? How does the Kingdom come? How do we live in light of the Kingdom? We will spend three weeks diving into what "The Kingdom" means for disciples of Christ and how it affects everything we do.
