Fret Talk

BudgetPedalChap is riding the lightning of guitar news with the fearless news wranglers Lee Pedabadadoo and Ollie Miles (yes, the very same one of Ollie Miles Music). We get all newsy about a rather brilliant throwbacks coming from a wonderful Canadian company, we look at the most recent rodent-based release from Brian and the Wamplers and we rag on JoBo a little for his shameless webstore, but also kinda dig his new signature pedal, so we’re even. As always, we are pumping up the jams with the Pedal World Cup also and things are heating right the eff up as the pedals are all winners at this point, but there can only be one true champion and two more get the chop from the competition. Join us on Thursdays live in PBOD group on Facebook at 8pm GMT to have your say on the ultimate winner of the Pedal World Cup.

If you’d like to support the show, you can throw us a buck over at www.patreon.com/frettalk. All of the money you give goes into helping the running of the show and to help our advertising budget to get this into more people’s ears. We appreciate any donation you chose to give and in doing so, you get a shout out on the show too.

Throw us a 5-star review on Itunes to help us soar up the ranks and sharing the cast helps us immensely also.

BudgetPedalChap is lighting the fires of guitar news with Mr Ollie Miles and Lee Pedabadadoo. We close up the quarter finals of the Pedal World Cup 2021 which takes an unexpected turn! We do a live unboxing of a pedal on the air… of an audio medium… yeah, it isn’t that well thought out, but it is a thing. Gibson have teamed up with a rather well known ex-metallica member or a very well-known thrash giant in his own right. Join us on Thursdays live in PBOD group on Facebook at 8pm GMT.

BudgetPedalChap is setting on a guitar news safari with a crack team of experts in the form of Mr Matt Quine, Mr Ollie Miles of Ollie Miles Music and Mr Lee Pedabada-doo. We wade through the swamps of news this week and dredge out the newsiest news from EHX, Epiphone and much, much more. We almost report on some news by Peavey towards the end also, but not quite. We tackle (football pun!) another couple of knockout rounds of Pedal World Cup 2021 too, which if you want to get involved, make sure you are tuning in on Thursdays every week over on Pedalboards of Doom Facebook Group (link below).

BudgetPedalChap is on another live show embarkment, joined by the best Lee we could find, Mr Lee Pedarbadardadoo and only Ollie Miles of Ollie Miles Music. We look into the some rather lovely news by EHX, who have released another pedal, which this time is based on a rather Kinky tone. We chat about a long-overdue signature instrument from the lovely folk at Jackson guitars and a sneaky little hit, maybe even a bit of a sleeper, by Cort guitars. We get stuck right into the knockout rounds of Pedal World Cup 2021 too, which if you want to get involved, make sure you are tuning in on Thursdays every week over on Pedalboards of Doom Facebook Group (link below).

BudgetPedalChap is joined by vintage classic Fret Talk Co-Host Mr Ollie Miles and long-time live sidekick Mr Lee Pedabadabdodoo. We traverse the meandering exotic river of guitar news this week through the tropical weathers of journalism. We talk about the newly released Boss collaboration, whether or not a telescopic pedalboard is a good idea or not plus much more from the remains of NAMM 2021. We also get serious with the global event that is the Pedal World Cup 2021, where we complete the fist of the knockout rounds. Tune in live on Thursdays to have your say in the outcome of this massive event. Thank you for tuning in this week and we hope to see you again soon. Big shout to the patreon people also, you guys rock more than a granite and basalt party.

BudgetPedalChap is on another live show journey, this week joined again by the one and only Mr Lee Pedarbadardadoo. We talk about benders, tone benders in fact. We also surf the seas of NAMM news again with some rather lovely offerings from EQD and UA. We also get a rather lovely guitar, which may or may not be Jap exclusive by the big F. The last of the group stages of the Pedal World Cup 2021 gets chosen and you'd not believe what gets through! Next week will be the knockout rounds, so make sure you stay tuned to have your say. We appreciate you taking the time to have a listen and would be really appreciative if you give us a review on your favourite podcast getting app and share it too! Cheers Patreon peeps too, you keep the rocking world go ‘round.

BudgetPedalChap is joined for the third live show on the bounce, joined as always by Lee Pedabadaadabobaadadoo and Mr Matt Quine, yes, you hear me right, it is the return of the Matt. We continue on with our Pedal World Cup 2021 group stages, which this week brings some heart-breaking news. We have a look at some of the top picks from NAMM 2021 as well by none other than Ibanez and Boss may also be making an appearance as well. As a short disclaimer, we have some absolutely monumental internet issues this week, which continued on to after the cast meaning that the audio was taken from the stream itself rather than the usual higher quality audio. We do apologise for this, hopefully the content more than makes up for the quality. We appreciate you taking the time to have a listen and would be really appreciative if you give us a review on your favourite podcast getting app and share it too! BudgetPedalChap is joined for another live show, no that can’t be right surely?! It blooming well is and it will be carrying on for the next couple of weeks whilst we kick of this Pedal World Cup 2021 and as always, I’m joined live with Lee Pedabadadadadadoo. We knock out another handful of classic pedals with the cream of the crop rising to the top to take their place in the knockout stages. If you want to have your say on who gets through, get in on that live show on Thursday to cast your vote. We also talk about some NAMM 2021 (I mean, it is a thing I guess?!) news with some Fender-tastic announcements of a very P90 line of guitars, they also revamp a relatively new series in the Squier range and I am quite excited about it. We also dip back into a bit of excitement from a week or so ago with a bit of innovation by the people over at Reverend. We appreciate you taking the time to have a listen and would be really appreciative if you give us a review on your favourite podcast getting app and share it too! BudgetPedalChap is joined by Lee Pedabadadoo for an amazing new series we are going to extend over the next couple of months, which is the Pedal World Cup 2021. This episode we get votes on group A and group E of the group stages of the Pedal World Cup. If you want to take part, tune into the livecasts over the next couple of weeks to get your say on which of your favourite pedals go through. Your votes matter and the winners were only swayed by 1 vote each way! We also talk about the purchase of Mesa Boogie and what that might spell for the brand, as well as a bit of the backlash from the community. We also discuss an unusual new signature Gibson that was released recently. Thanks to all that tuned in live, thanks for all you who are downloading and listening too. Special thanks as always to our Patreon backers, you lovely lot.
