BudgetPedalChap and Matt Quine are joined by Ayrton this week as we break down the walls of podcastly guitar banter. We discuss the Great British Build off and talk guitar practice as well as discussing some of the bands we love that may not have the notoriety that they deserve. We discuss Nita Strauss and here foray into live wrestling theme songs and weigh in why we like her signature guitar as a bastion of gender equality more than we do others. If you like what you hear this week, feel free to subscribe to us on any of the podcatchers we are hosted on as well as sharing us with you friends. Thanks for choosing us this week and see you again soon. Throw us a 5-star review on Itunes to help us soar up the ranks and sharing the cast helps us immensely also. BudgetPedalChap and Matt Quine ride the waves of podcastdom with our oft mentioned honorary third, Mr Moog Gravett! We discuss innuendo-laden tales of guitar through this episode, mentioning the recent events of Moog's fantastic band Rapscallion. The week sees the Stratocaster Telecaster hybrid, which we dissect and discuss our guitar care regimes. The internet connection was against us towards the end of the cast and cuts the banter short (What, wait?! You guys don't record this sitting in the same room? - it is hard to believe considering the stellar audio quality huh?). This episode is an absolute banger, so if you like it, share it with your friends, colleagues and pets to spread the word! BudgetPedalChap and Matty Quine catch up on the weeks events together and chat about the aftermath of the drunkenness last week. In the guitar world, it has been a slow news week, so we discuss our favourite guitars and what we would change about them and we discuss the new Fender JoBo 59 twin, as well as talking about trends in amplifiers in general. We tackle listener questions on relicing guitars and many more. Throw us a 5-star review on Itunes to help us soar up the ranks and sharing the cast helps us immensely also. BudgetPedalChap is joined for the first time in the studio this week by Mr Adam Yeomans! We also have our podcast regular, Mr Ayrton Tracie and by our special guest host this week: Drunk Matt! This week, we discuss the art of modding guitars and some of the recent mods we have made to some of our instruments. We also discuss listener question from Stuart about string gauges and brand preference, as well as discussing the most versatile instruments you can get for a pretty tight budget and on a slightly more relaxed budget too. It gets crude pretty quick this week, which I would like to say is due to the presence of Drunk Matt, but we all know that it was going that way anyway; we are duuurty. Thank you listeners for your patronage, without you guys and gals, this would not be possible, so big shout out to you. You're great. BudgetPedalChap and Matt Quine shoot the breeze this week and discuss some ridiculously high-output pickups, how Matt didn't know how much of a legend Peter Green is and why guitar thieves are terrible people and should be stopped. We also discuss some of Gibson's most recent efforts as well as some further musical legends. The information for helping out Peach guitars in this episode are already on the group, so if you do know anything or hear anything – let them know. BudgetPedalChap is joined this week again with regular host Matt Quine, it is like the natural order is restored, but also joined by one of our past hosts, Ayrton Tracey. We talk about all of the gigging that Matt has been doing as well as some of the fine products BPC has been splashing the cash on. We talk about a number of different pedal board solutions that were showing at UK-NAMM Birmingham two weeks ago by Nexi and Hotone. We also weigh in on the PRS Stratocaster and the John Mayer storm of publicity that has ensued. We also get interrupted on a number of occasions by Podcat and there may be some suspect and offensive accents. BudgetPedalChap is not joined by Matt Quine, but rather caught up with Paul Fletcher and two new-to-the-cast-hosts, Adam Yeomans and James Town. We were all lucky enough to visit the Birmingham Guitar Show at the end of last month and we report some of our findings back to you lovely lot. We discuss the new Marshall Origin series as well as efforts from Supro and Yellow Rock. We also get a little bit gushy over our first experiences with the Honey Boy range and, even though we happen to know Andy who makes them (who happens to be a lovely chap in his own right), relay our experience of the event. We didn't quite expect the amount of cool stuff that we saw, so the rap up of everything might have to continue over to another cast, so watch this space. Our gratitude extends to all of the stands at the show and especially to those that took time to welcome us and walk us through their products. BudgetPedalChap and Matt Quine are joined this week by a huge cast of podcasters, including our South-side swear machine Mick Dodd, the one-and-only Paul Farrell and the man who is single-handedly keeping the guitar economy booming Chris Wilson. We catch up with Chris and his many purchases since last he was on the cast as well as discussing the Line 6 Variax, whilst also touching upon the quandary 'do we buy the gear to serve the show or is it to serve ourselves?' We discuss the big G and the future of the company and BudgetPedalChap shares some controversial opinions on the Foo Fighters. What an absolute cracker of a show this week, so if it is half as fun to listen to as it was to record, it'll be a blinder! Show us some love by sharing the cast with a friend and getting them to subscribe too, we go through a lot of trouble sometimes to get the cast out, so help a cast out. BudgetPedalChap and Matt Quine brave the world of guitar once again this week and talk about some pretty weighty subjects including acoustic gigs, emotional performances and practice tools. Matt is given the soapbox to rant upon with the hefty discussion about modern music and modern music festivals with a focus on the recent release of the Reading Leeds 2018 line up. Matt seems to be convinced that music is officially dead and we discuss why that might be the case. Up front, we apologise for the quality in the audio; you seriously don't know how many technical issues we faced in recording this podcast down to failing recording equipment, a computer deciding to install updates mid-cast (thanks Bill Gates) and the weather. Show us some love by sharing the cast with a friend and getting them to subscribe too, we go through a lot of trouble sometimes to get the cast out, so help a cast out. BudgetPedalChap and Matt Quine are joined this week by another Paul, Mr Paul Fletcher. We give Paul the floor on some NAMM stuff that interested him, because why not eh? We also dive deep into guitar practice across the ages and how it is changing for the modern age. We discuss something called a VHS, which Paul assures is kind of like a DVD, which is apparently some kind of movie on a disc?!
