Tweetables:
“By that point I had been doing branding and marketing work actually as a side hustle, outside of all of my day jobs, for almost ten years at that point. And I fell in love with it and was starting to hit this tipping point where people were asking for more, and I was getting referrals, and I was getting leads. And I was sitting there and asked, ‘Why do I not make my side hustle my official hustle?’” (05:42)
“Everything I teach starts with your message. If you don’t have it down and you’re out there trying to hustle and get clients, it’s probably going to feel like you’re throwing spaghetti at the wall hoping that something sticks.” (08:18)
“I’m going to get really strategic with myself. I’m going to get really competitive with myself. I’m going to leverage my strengths for me. When I started from that standpoint for that first year, it laid the foundation so I could leverage my strengths for my clients.” (13:11)
“I know my strengths. I also know what it looks like when maybe I’m not showing up running on all cylinders. So, my commitment to you is to show up running on all cylinders, meaning we’re going to set the tone, we’re going to set the intention, we’re gonna probably do these sessions in the morning before Kate’s brain shuts down for the afternoon.” (16:19)
“My job as an entrepreneur is to win work. I gotta keep the wheels on the bus. And the only way I’m gonna keep the wheels on the bus is by bringing in a revenue that matched what I was making in my salary and to work smarter, not harder.” (20:16)
“The reality is we have about twenty to thirty seconds, in the initiation of a conversation, to say who we are, how we solve their problem and why we’re different from the competition. And, if we can’t clearly articulate that, we’re not gonna get them to the table so we can give them our sales pitch.” (29:43)

Hey there! Well, we are in interesting times, aren't we?
We'll all taken a proverbial pause, maybe freaked out a little, and questioned how you'll move forward.
And now... let's take back control of what we can control. What we feed our minds, how we care for ourselves, and our inner game.
Let's do this together.
As Alissa has said time and again, we're all perfectly lopsided puzzle pieces, a part of this larger puzzle, or threads in the larger tapestry. We have just relaunched this show and what better and more-fitting episode to start with than to invite Kari Romeo as our opening guest because she is everything that this show embodies. Kari is no stranger to limiting beliefs, fears, and self-doubt. Before all the success, she's dealt and struggled with insecurities—much like we all do. Today's episode is truly inspirational and a real testament that what you believe, manifests. I hope that by the end of this episode, you find the power to reframe your thoughts and experience the beautiful transformation that Kari and myself had the opportunity to, and together, let's claim our successes.
About Kari RomeoKari Romeo is a transformational life coach, she's a motivational speaker, a personal transformation and mindset seminar facilitator. She's also a retired Air Force officer—a decorated one, mind you—a life coach, and author of the new book, Becoming Beautiful: A Personal Journey Towards Happiness. She enjoys speaking with groups, organizations, and businesses about using the positive power of appreciative inquiry to achieve success.

I asked my friend Chris to come and join us today. He has willingly shared two major drawbacks that he’d experienced, and together, we will share with you how you can take this challenge head on, what systems and processes to employ, keeping that check and balance, that way we can keep problems at bay or from resurfacing. Have you ever had the feeling that you are just bouncing off like a ball trying to get your business established? Our guest today surely has. Starting a business is a challenge, and even more so when you have very limited knowledge on the business side of things, add to it keeping a day job, offering an instructional coaching and working with schools at the same time. Our guest today is torn, for the last three years, between marketing her business or staying focused on her clients that will eventually enable her to reach the ultimate goal. In today’s session, we are going to walk Trish through a process on how she can, little by little, create that shift towards the goal. We’d give her enough pointers to help get herself established, as what I have done in mine when I was just starting.

Let’s be honest, technology can be difficult to navigate, especially if you’re like our guest today who says she is not a spring chicken. She jokingly says that she’s just a “chubby grandma” and feels like technology isn’t for her. While I do agree that technology can feel quite complicated, we are living in the digital age, and we have to learn to navigate the online space to keep up. If you find yourself strongly resonating with our guest today, stay tuned in as we deep dive into how you can lean on your own strengths to get you across that barrier that can impede the success of your business.
