In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing SOONER OR LATER (1979), from writers Bruce and Carole Hart, the film is directed by Bruce Hart and based off their novel of the same name.  Thirteen year old Jessie (Denise Miller) is a young girl who dreams of romance and reads romance novels, while putting on makeup to come across as older and more exciting.  She meets musician Michael Skye (Rex Smith) as he and his band do a performance outside the local mall.  It inspires her to go sign up for guitar lessons but she soon learns that Michael will be her teacher.  He asks her her age and she begins her deceit by saying she is actually 16.  She tries to get in his line of vision by going for a jog when she knows he will be at the park and soon they are making plans to go out on a date.  However soon she will have to confess and the audience is left to wonder if this is the end of Michael and Jessie or will some other outcome.  The film clocks in at 1 h and 36 m, is unrated as it originally aired as a TV movie and is currently available to buy/rent on Amazon.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
