Uvalde Radio’s Friday Night Live series returns for 2026, and the season kicks off with San Antonio songwriter and performer Paul Isaac live from Broadway 830 in downtown Uvalde.
In this wide-ranging conversation with host Robert Miguel, Isaac shares stories from his early days touring in the contemporary Christian music scene, stepping away from the industry in the ’90s, and his recent return to Nashville as a songwriter pitching songs to major country artists. He explains why Nashville is known as a “ten-year town,” what it’s like to have songs placed on hold by big artists, and how one breakthrough cut can change everything.
The conversation also wanders into family life, the realities of life on the road, the changing music business, and the surprising number of Isaac family members now working in live sound, lighting, and production across Texas.
Between interview segments, hear Paul Isaac’s songs “Driving Home” and “Put That in Your Heart,” followed by a live patio performance that officially launches another season of Friday nights filled with Texas music.
Recorded live March 20, 2026 at Broadway 830 in Uvalde, Texas.
