Wayne county prosecutors say this happened when the suspects, 54-year-old Steven Hooks and 31-year-old Bernice Chenevert, were at a liquor store on Livernois and Fenkell last Tuesday. When Chenevert went inside, 40-year-old Cordell Harris spoke to her. An argument led to Hooks stabbing Harris multiple times in the neck with a bottle Chenevert gave to him. WWJ's Darrylin Horne spoke to Harris' childhood friend, Dorian Huff, who says he was only trying to help the woman. Hooks and Chenevert have both been charged with Pre-meditated First-Degree Murder.
