1. trade off 交换
Monica要在两个好朋友Phoebe和Rachel之间选择made of honor, 非常难以抉择。所以她想到了一个伴娘trade off计划。Monica 说we trade off being maid of honor.我们可以互相交换着当伴娘。
trade off 交换，交易 名词 trade-off
另外trade-off也是一个经济学术语：权衡，意思是作出一个放弃部分利益换取其他利益的决定
Monica: Okay, the reason why I asked you guys out to brunch today is because I have been doing some thinking about who should be my maid of honor.
Rachel: Oh my God! This is it! (She and Phoebe hold hands.) (To Phoebe) I really hope it’s you!

Monica和Rachel, Phoebe正在讨论伴娘人选的问题，旁边的一位女士忽然凑过来说Excuse me, I-I couldn’t help overhearing, you’re marrying Chandler Bing?
当无意中听到别人的交谈觉得感兴趣想插话的时候，开场白 Excuse me, I could not help overhearing.

Monica: Yeah that’s right.

Joey: Why is 10 the highest?
