We grow apart, we miscommunicate, and we get in fights that slowly corrode relationships with friends that used to be our whole support system, and fuck—it can get awkward. Our relationships with friends take effort, and it’s painful when that effort slowly fades away. Through it all, the people who want to keep you in their lives will make an effort, and you should too.
