Have you ever seen a course being sold by someone who teaches you how to sell courses about building courses? We love the internet business space and we think there’s so much good shit out there you can learn, but unfortunately for as many honest and hard working entrepreneurs there are, there are even more scammers, grifters, and snake oil salespeople. Sure, you can make a great living online, but it’s never been as simple as just “make a course and then sell tons of units,” as much as we’d like it to be. Selling courses, building an online business, and developing a personal brand is tough work, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. Or trying to sell you something. Most likely, they’re lying in order to sell you something.

We’ve definitely noticed how much better people treat us when we look good—we do still live in a patriarchal society, after all—but is it worth it to start investing more money into your Sephora budget in order to get a raise at work? As we get deeper and deeper into our 40’s, we’re finding ourselves less impressed with whatever everyone else is up to.
