I would like to do so many things, but I don’t have the time. How often have we heard or said this sentence? Do we really not have the time? Or are we mainly telling ourselves that we don’t? And what would happen if we decided to change this?  Time is an important aspect of this episode, but not the only one. We will take a look back on 1,5 years of re:thinking monitoring. A workshop that we already discussed in one of the first episodes of this Podcast - after it took place for the first time. We want to look back and ask Gesa and Kerstin: What has happened during those 1,5 years? What might have changed - also in their own narrative? We also reflect about the fact, that we do not always need to or have THE solution or perfect tool, and why taking time and our everyday experiences are two important basics if we want to work with our narratives and start changing them.

Tal vez conoces la serie “Die Sendung mit der Maus“ – una serie de televisión alemana – o la canción del Barrio Sésamo / La Plaza Sésamo “Wer, wie, was, wieso, weshalb, warum“ (quién, cómo, qué, por qué) con Lucas. O tal vez un niño te siguió haciendo una pregunta a través de otra, sin parar. Como por ejemplo: “Por qué llueve?” …. “Por qué hay nubes?”…. “De dónde vienen las nubes?” Cuando crecemos cada vez hacemos menos preguntas, y eso por qué? No te vamos a dar respuesta a esta pregunta. Pero se va a hablar de las preguntas, de la escucha activa y como todo esto puede ser vinculado a la (re)configuración de las narrativas y cada individuo habita sus espacios basado en sus narrativa

Since one year the podcast From 0 2 100 exists. Each first day of a month an episode in English, Spanish and sometimes in German is shared with you. Vielleicht kennst du die Situation: Ein Kind fragt dich, warum die Uhr rechts und nicht links herum gelesen wird. Eine Frage, die du noch ohne Onkel-Google, ein Lexikon oder eine kreative Idee beantworten kannst. Was ist mit: Wo ist meine Oma nun wo sie gestorben ist? Manchmal gibt es keine Antwort, wir denken uns etwas aus, wir benennen es Schicksal oder Gott gewollt, um auf diese Weise der Warum-Frage, welche nicht nur Kinder, sondern auch Erwachsene stellen, eine Antwort zu geben. Je nach Kontext wird auch von Sünde gesprochen, wenn z.B. gefragt wird, warum ausgerechnet Person x an Krebs erkrankt ist – das ist also die Strafe oder Prüfung Gottes dafür, dass man vorher etwas falsch gemacht hat. Könnte es eine Verbindung zwischen dem Narrativ der Sünde und der Warum-Frage geben? Welche Rolle könnte dabei die Kirche und der Glaube spielen? Könnten Narrative dadurch anders erzählt werden und stärker positiv betrachtet werden? Conoces la situación que hay un tema en el espacio que todxs conocen, nadie lo toca, pero que el asunto influye las decisiones y procesos? O no se habla sobre el caso familiar de tener una familia diversa de dos mujeres teniendo dos o tres niños por ir en contra de los sistemas "normales"?
 Los tabús son diversos, dependen de sistemas y culturas y, parecido a las hipótesis, muchas veces no se toca o no se habla sobre el tema que está cubierto por el tabú. Cúales son las razones? Pues, pueden ser varios, de no herir los sentimientos de otros, de no ser excluido a personas, de no conocer el tabú, de parecer demasiado emocional porque se sigue su sentimiento y no los reglamentos…
 Esta forma de no tratar los tabús y, de verlos como reglamentos que todxs conocen puede afectar a un invidivuo, sus decisiones y toda su vida. Al mismo tiempo los tabús ayudan, dan estructura y facilitan de cierta manera la vida de ciertas personas. Sobre cómo enfrentar y cómo cambiar las narrativas que construyen un tabú, vamos a hablar en este episodio. Con ejemplos concretos de varios tabús y como enfrentarlos, puede cambiar al individuo y su entorno.

Desaprender con la ayuda de narrativas para crear narrativas más inclusivas

Noticias falsas – algo que probablemente la mayoría de Ustedes ya escuchó o leyó en algún momento. No sólo sobre y para campañas electorales, sino también para momentos tan importantes como el Brexit – la salida de Inglaterra de la Unión Europea – o para el Plebiscito por la Paz en Colombia – curiosamente dos procesos que ocurrieron en el mismo año. Una narrando que Inglaterra sostiene a la Unión Europa – aún en realidad era al revés –, y la otra que los guerrilleros de las FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia) quitan la pensión a lxs colombianxs en su momento de desmovilizarse y reintegrarse a la sociedad colombiana. Cuando nos enteramos que estas noticias son falsas, las llamamos noticias falsas, y estas noticias no son narrativas? Narrativas en las cuales confiamos, porque nos enseñaron confiar en el/la otra, las noticias y los políticos?

Cómo las narrativas nos acompañan, nos influyen, y donde las encontramos sin saber que nos enfrentamos a una narrativa, de este tema trata este episodio. Anímate a conocer donde se puede esconder narrativas y cómo nos influyen desde chiquito.  Y como siempre: La narrativa no es algo malo, nos ayuda definir el camino, tomar decisiones y tener un sentido común. Importante es, ser consciente de la narrativa y que se podría tomar una decisión diferente a lo que se expecta desde la narrativa, cambiando la narrativa de esta manera.

Nowadays we have access to a lot of information. Information changes quickly, news are in many countries easily accessible. Digital media contributes on its way to a different exchange and communication between people and countries. Travelling is for certain people quite easy and studying at universities a requirement, formations might not be as recognized as years ago. So learning changes, but what about unlearning habits and the way we think? Have you ever thought about the fact that the narratives and assumptions that guide your decisions might be told differently by others? As they learned differently about it, or have a different point of view. In this episode, we talk about what it means to unlearn. As a teaser for you: Have you ever put the plates and cups or anything else in your kitchen at a different place than you are used to? How often have you opened the cupboard where you have put the plates before? Or you might even have thrown plates and cups away, given them away to someone else or given them a different use, such as using only bowls and no plates anymore? How easy do you think, is this unlearning and adjusting processes? How might this look like when we have to unlearn how to treat others or how we have thought about others? Might this take even more time and be more harmful or a positive learning process?
