However, when he and his partner are let go from their jobs, they must make a choice: will they risk it all to fight for their dreams? Or will they remain in the safety of a steady job?
Meet Justin Rule, a devoted family man and founder of the highly-rated web design company, Launchkits.com. Justin's journey to success has been anything but smooth, as he has navigated through personal struggles, addiction, and financial challenges. By turning to faith and dedicating himself to serving others, Justin has emerged stronger and more determined than ever. With a background in education and a heart for helping at-risk youth, he embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship that seeks to uplift and empower others.
“If you haven't considered whether or not you're actually adding value and bringing something to the marketplace that people will pay for, it might not end well for you financially, and you may end up hating what was a hobby that you loved.”
“At the end of the day, it's not just about bringing home money in a bank account, right? It's like being present and helpful and contributing to those in the community, those in your very close community, your family, right?”
“I feel like to be a successful entrepreneur, yes, you've got to have vision. You've got to have a desire for sort of impact and be a little stubborn to bust down some walls sometimes, but you have to be willing and humble to listen.”
The value of abundance
Abundance, as a concept, extends beyond mere financial wealth. It also encompasses emotional and spiritual well-being, relationships, and personal growth. Achieving a sense of abundance requires individuals to shift their focus from material possessions to finding fulfillment through inner peace, love, and service to others. Maintaining a mindset of abundance encourages personal satisfaction and supports the pursuit of a satisfying and meaningful life. In the podcast episode, Justin Rule speaks about his definition of abundance, emphasizing that it's not merely about amassing wealth but about living a whole, free life and serving others. His experiences and insights demonstrate that a focus on character, relationships, and personal growth can lead to a richer, more fulfilling existence.

In 2016, Mike Kitko hit rock bottom. He was 300 pounds, drinking to toxic levels, and on the verge of divorce. Why? imposter syndrome. Being a well-paid corporate executive didn’t take the imposter syndrome away, it made it worse.
“Success isn't gonna take away the feeling that you have, that you're a failure or you're a fraud.”
After spiraling into multiple self-sabotage habits, Mike took charge and started reinventing himself. But, his wife didn’t like it. The man Mike was becoming wasn’t the man she knew. She rejected the improved version of Mike. Everything that happened next changed both their lives forever.
“What I've learned is that I've gotta figure out what's best for me. I need to be the leader.”
In the episode we talk about the wake-up call in Mike’s life, the difference between codependency and true love, ways to overcome imposter syndrome, why you’re probably not living up to your full potential, and why you need to be self-centered.
“Your stories come true. Whatever you believe about yourself, you make it true. The flip side of the imposter syndrome is I get to decide who I am.”
Mike Kitko is the founder of Inner Wealth Global which he runs with his wife. There, he coaches, speaks, and helps people find time and money freedom - that’s his zone of genius. He also hosts a podcast and is a Marine veteran. He is the author of Imposter In Charge.
Adversities Mike Kitko had to overcome:
- Feeling suicidal
- Becoming 300 pounds
- Drinking at toxic levels
- Raging imposter syndrome
- Self-sabotage
- Lost his job
- Anger after too many beers
Abundance Mike Kitko created:
- Wrote a book
- Became a role model for his children
- Running a business with his wife

In this episode, Jamie shares his journey from quitting his job to becoming a successful entrepreneur owning multiple companies, including a mortgage note investing and loan servicing company. He also provides a crash course on how to become a note investor yourself, while sharing tips and tricks on how to stay motivated and what he's working on.
Tune in to learn about the advantages and disadvantages of note investing, how to buy non-performing and performing mortgage notes, and why it's a more secure asset class than stocks. Whether you're a real estate professional or an aspiring investor, this episode is for you.
“more often than not, the frontline real estate professionals do not become investors.”
Making the shift always lived in the back of my mind. It wasn’t until 2015 that I invested in my first property while working a civilian job with the Department of Defense. Eventually, working there felt like groundhog day and I was losing the passion for it. Tune in for the story of why I quit my job and how I made it work after quitting.
“I do think action taking a step is critical. If someone is stuck, take a step, move in one direction. You can still turn 10 degrees and then turn back. You don't have to conquer it all immediately, but I do think taking one small step toward your goal is critical.”

In this podcast episode, Corey Peterson shares his inspiring journey from being a used car salesman to becoming a multi-millionaire real estate investor. He talks about how meeting his mother's partner, Bruce, who took them on an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii, changed his mindset about wealth and motivated him to turn his life around. Corey shares his experience of using other people's money to grow his businesses and how he overcame his workaholism to create time freedom and become a full-time dad. He also discusses the adversities he had to overcome, including a $3.2 million deal that went sideways and breaking his son's heart. Corey shares valuable lessons on how to find success through failure, the importance of creating time freedom, and putting your family first.
Tune in to find out how Corey grew his businesses by copying others, using other people’s money, and is spending more time than ever with his family by creating time freedom.
On using other people’s money:
“It takes money to make money. But it doesn't always take your money.”
On workaholism and creating time freedom:
“I was saying things like, well, I'm doing it for my kids. I'm doing it for my family. That's a lie. I was doing it for me, right? There was an expense, a price to pay for doing it the way that I was doing it because there was no balance. I didn't create any things that gave me time freedom or really any freedom. It was just work, work, work.”
“No kid ever worries about how much money dad makes. The only currency they trade in is time.”
“Put your vision first, then you build your work life to work around it. It has to fit in the cracks, right? So if you put your family and the things you're really believe are important, and then you put your business on top, it has to fit in the crack.”

A few short years ago, Geoff Seow was in an 8-year haze. That’s what he calls his drug and alcohol addiction years. Today, he has 3 degrees and runs two businesses. In this episode, he shares lessons from how he transformed his life. In August 2020 he decided to turn his life around.
“ Marijuana cut a lot of ambition and drive out of my life.”
He took action to tap into his ambition and started an Instagram account called Your Daily Purpose. Though he initially started it to keep himself motivated, it reached 3000 followers in 6 months all because he was being authentic and investing the time to truly get to know people. At his job, he realized he was spending more time answering his Instagram DMs than he was doing his actual job.
“Everybody's using social media, so you have to use social media to create quality conversations, but not in the sense of just creating conversations to sell, because people do that all the time. But creating conversations as in creating a network, creating a global network of people that you know from around the world.”
Eventually, he started an apparel company and a life coaching business. In the episode, he talks about how to overcome addiction, when to take the plunge into entrepreneurship, and why you want to be selective about who your clients are.
“Focus to the point where you stop doubting yourself.”
“But when you do decide to change something, It's gonna suck, it's gonna hurt, but you have to be able to embrace it, but not necessarily love it. But understand that suffering for a purpose is how we create meaning in life. It's called striving. “
Adversities Geoff Seow had to overcome:
-- Spent most of his time in “haze” duing his time at university as he suffered from drug addiction
-- Parental bullying
Abundance Geoff Seow created:
-- Grew an Instagram community from 0 to 3000 followers in 6 months
-- Realized his passion for personal development
-- Started 2 businesses
Lessons from Geoff Seow adversities
-- If your why is powerful, you will take the steps you need to take. Your commitment and your purpose go hand in hand.
-- Decide how your job is serving and whether you need it to continue serving you before making a decision to quit it.
