  • Episode 57: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #9
All their hard work. All the preparing. All the planning. The sneakiness completed by Sieghart, the reconnaissance performed by Kipa, and the emotional turmoil suppressed by Aereus, all culminating to this moment; the Ascension Games. The Genealogical Genies wake and do their morning routines as the nerves start to settle in, and they start to settle. But what is the daunting, most terrifying and strangely poetic tasks that they will have to complete in the ascension games? And will Sieghart's interaction with Mentor create a barricade to the momentum of the Procreative Poppas? These thoughts are in the heads of our Protagonist Padres as they enter the coliseum to begin the act of Ascending. Who knew that being divine would be so competitive? • Episode 56: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #8
As the waves lap through the soundscapes of virtual, COVID reality, the party of Party Paternals are split up once again, making choices that impact their story more so than that of a fly on the wall (or maybe a carrot?). Pulling what the zoomie babes call a PRO-GAMER MOVE, Sieghart finds a new pathway into cat-burglary, giving David an opportunity to let that sweet nectar rip. While that Nautical Chaplain suckling is a cuckling, Kipa comes out strong and swinging at El Caballero Rojo, almost ending his short life in the process. But is the Vermillion Vagrant a Villain? Or is the antagonist more holy in nature? Kipa starts putting dots together, as Aereus brushes down the Normal Liam, asking him where his beloved is, because if Liam got invited to the party, then surely he would be here. Right? If you are wondering how to RSVP to said party, then tune in, from afar, to From Afar Podcast! Did you expect the Spanish Imposition?

  • Episode 55: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #7
Born through fire, a sword reborn. Aereus is blessed by the legends of old, and his trustworthy weapon is revitalized. This still doesn't answer questions for Liam as to why Aereus is not at the clans, but that may take years for him to understand. In the Starlight Citadel, Barachiel holds an audience with Sieghart and Damscus, where he makes an offer one may think not able to be refused. Yet, as always with FAP, the impossible happens, and Damascus receives holy ire, to which Sieghart steps up to the plate for another homerun. And still, in a bathhouse impossibly far yet close, Kipa finally meets Route, the Red Knight, and almost ends it all as quickly as it started. Our boys are split, yet the story is unravelling just as fast in the twilight realm of Lunia. If you like to get married, then tune in from afar, to From Afar Podcast!

  • Episode 54: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #6
Following a shonen-like duel of fates where even Qui-Gon Jinn comes out a winner, our grizzled soldiers are met with some new yet familiar strangers from the Clans of Metal, having a face to the legend of Domino himself. And while a fire of camaraderie roasts the marshmallows of backstory, Kipa is met with a hospitality unlike that in a Faerun or Wizards of the Coast NPC. With the blessing of the Underground Oracle, Mama Bardousa is amicable towards our Fae Bard, explaining a bit about the red knight. And back in the cove of healing, Damascus summons Sieghart to have an audience with a member in power, much to the mystery of why. With the games coming soon, the Paters are getting ready for the ascension of a lifetime. Like the Greek clothing store, just do it. To find out more about a comeback worthy of the hall, tune in from afar, to From Afar Podcast! Come and be merry!

  • Episode 53: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #5
Splitting the party, we find our heroes at a fork in the road, Kipa being tasked with stealth and subtlety, Sieghart and Aereus finding strange training given by Damascus. Sieghart and Aereus are led to a calm, healing cove. It is there that our chonky boys put their mettle to the test, making sure that toe to tip, they are worth their salt like a kosher iodized pantry item. During this macho masculine test of normative appropriate male behavior, our sneaky storyteller is doing some reconnaissance. With an Infinite Word Favor being agreed upon, Damascus thinks the Red Knight is a little... fishy... and sends Kipa to investigate, him being the most agile. Having no choice but to agree, Kipa follows the enigmatic warrior, finding himself in a strange location that looks very much like a bathhouse full of interesting and odd individuals. Well, if it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a bathhouse. But this bathhouse is no ordinary bathhouse, but Mama Bardousa's Bathhouse. We are pleased to say that it would not have been possible without the incredible original work of Underground Oracle Publishing allowing us to use their new content to make this wonderful magical story possible. • Episode 51: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #3
Ahoy and well met! This week, we find our Petulant Paternals as they stumble from the M.C. Escher stairways littered with the bodies and corpses of Modrons and Duodrons and Friendlydrons into view of the stunning landscape of Lunia! The heavenly celestial city is one for the perfectionist books, as scores of perfectly and annoyingly beautiful clerics, paladins, and honorable ones hustle and bustle with a holy glow. After a most positive and Pollyanna interaction with a certain Ded Tanson, the Fathers make their way to the city, searching for the Ascension games! However, even in such a bright land, darkness robs the spirit. Members of the group see their finality looming like a mountain before them, seemingly impossible to scale, impossible to withstand. Yet, like the Man from La Mancha said so eloquently, suck it up buttercup. When your knees turn to spaghetti, know that you can always join us, from afar, at From Afar Podcast! • Episode 50: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #2
After leaving you wonderful people with a crumbabumbkin of a cliffhanger (who is she?!?!?) we take up right where we left off, in the strange forest. Our Heroes are met with a quizzical stranger, who gives answers but raises more questions, but gives direction, to which the ruins are found. However, when one wants into heaven, one may need to take a roundabout way, or backtrack a little. It is here that our company is once again, met with their greatest adversary: the door. But success is a taste that our Paters have indulged in many a time before, and it is not long before they are met with even more confusing riddles, such as the man in the mirror and if they are gonna make a change, for once in their life. Traversing further into the door-jamboree, our party comes to the threshold of destiny (or maybe hell) and must put their minds together and lean on the pillars of before-times to understand the next move. Remember, where your focus goes, your energy flows, ARE YOU HEARING ME? Tune in this Magnanimous Monday from afar, to From Afar Podcast! Turtles and lo-fi chill is this episodes aesthetic.

  • Episode 49: Knock, Knock, Knockin' Out Heaven's Door #1
We find our Fatherial figures in the room where it happened, with the prismatic peeps giving some good low-down info of the wild shit Prism can do with her brain rock, throwing a mighty tissy into the reality fibers of our story. Good thing she's on our side, amirite? With a direction and a heading, and also a way to go, our party starts to initiate the travel, starting with the incredible Nalomi, which may or may have not forgiven Sieghart for punching the sin out of his shins. Soaring to new heights, we transfer from the old to the new, passing a summit threshold into green fields, where not all is at it seems. How can a place with such new things, house such old fear? If you have these questions, or question anything else about your body or my own, then join us from afar, on From Afar Podcast! We interrupt your lifetime of pullups to tell you, you are an amazing person.

  • Episode 48: Maritime Interlude #2
Welcome back you loveable personages of absolute splendor, to the second episode of the Maritime Interlude, as the Furious Fathers take you through roleplaying and exposition they further flesh out and give reflection to their previous arc and what it meant for their growth. Aereus and Sieghart exchange a masculine smoky and musky conversation about their ideologies, while Kipa does something not necessarily in character with his previous actions. All of which further pushes the boundaries of what exactly is going on with this story, giving another brief peek into a deeper, more complex web of understanding that supports the strange existence of Atlantis and how it interconnects more than seems to be possible. This is further instated, as the Fathers are summoned by Minus and Prism to Prism's room. It is there that she is excited to show them that, as may have been forgotten, she is not entirely human, if at all. So put down that onion, buckle those belters, and challenge that orangutan to a pull-up contest, as we teach you the value of losing competitively from afar, on From Afar Podcast! Remember, a human can fit in a grizzly bear's stomach, but a grizzly bear cannot fit in a human's.
