From Alpha to Zedd

"Every single villain is just a worse version the same villain from last season" - Avi

The Power Rangers writing room is just one string to the next in a completely linear line, not crossing anything." - Dan

Avi and Dan talk about Avatar: The Last Airbender, World of Warcraft, Teen Titans, and Magic: The Gathering. A significant amount of time is devoted to surprise parties and how they're terrible, including two stories from Avi's past. They discus all the red rangers. Jason, Tommy, TJ, and Andros.

Oh, and Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy comes up at some intervals as well. They're not enamored.

Dan confuses two of the main characters. Avi goes on a long rant about the greatness of a department in the Federal Government. It must be a new season of Power Rangers! They definitely feel it's a step down from In Space but Avi does get to do an old woman voice, so there's that.

Avi and Dan watch Power Rangers (2017). They like it even though they hate how it looks and wish it was more like The Breakfast Club.

Please rate and review us on Apple Podcasts, we'd really appreciate it. You can tell us we're wrong, we'd love that. Also, if there's a long-lost John Hughes Power Rangers script, we'd love to hear about it @fromalpha2zedd

Continuing their sub-series that no one cares about, Dan and Avi watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Avi compares it to Monkey Island 2: Le Chuck's Revenge; Dan knows what's going on; neither of them are particularly impressed.

Episode 40: It's the end of an era as Avi and Dan tackle the finale of Power Rangers: In Space. They have mostly feelings about the whole affair and are probably beginning to question all the choices that have led them to this point in their lives. If asked to sum it up in a single phrase it would be, "On a better written show..."

Episode 40: The Psycho Rangers enter the scene as Avi and Dan watch yet another attempt at making a team of evil Rangers. This time it works!...mostly. That's exciting for everyone and is a nice palate cleanser from all the bullshit Astronema has to deal with in this batch of episodes.

We'd love to hear from you @fromalpha2zedd

Episode 38: Avi goes above and beyond the call of duty to figure out motivations for Astronema, Dan doesn't buy it. But they're both really impressed with the quality of writing on the show. We also have a summary of greek mythology from Avi, who's really putting his useless MA to work.

Are you a producer for Power Rangers that wants to hire and/or yell at us? Let us know @fromalpha2zedd

Episode 37: Dan and Avi are back after their break to watch a movie they enjoyed. This week, they find most things to be competent, except for one episode. Plus they get really distracted talking about Nickelodeon gimmicks from their childhoods and a bunch of other stuff. Is this at all surprising?

Do you remember Stick Stickly? Talk to us about it @fromalpha2zedd and rate us on Apple Podcasts!

Dan and Avi go off the Morphing Grid and dive into Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. They like it! And then they start to complain about bad acting and unnecessary threats. So it ends up being par for the course.
