From Anxiety to PSSD: How Antidepressants Destroyed My Life | Cael’s Story

Listen Later

Cael was a healthy, social teenager when he was prescribed antidepressants for mild anxiety. What followed was years of being cycled through multiple drugs — Lexapro, Effexor, Zoloft, Pristiq, Seroquel, Cymbalta — with no informed consent about the risks. Today, he lives with Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD), a devastating condition marked by emotional numbness, genital anesthesia, and life-altering changes that remain long after the drugs are stopped. This is his story.
