Our life was chaotic when we moved from New Jersey to Northern California with two little girls and a new baby, selling our house on the East Coast and buying a new one in California, and Wes taking the California Bar Exam. We plunged into writing talks and giving Marriage Encounter Weekends, and I only had time for scraps of poetry during the two years we lived there.
