One of the best books I have ever read was Managing Oneself.

This book reminded me of the importance of managing yourself like you would a business; delivering the best possible service, looking at revenue in to your 'business', monitoring expenses and costs, and ultimately doing what you can to take yourself to the next level.

In this episode, I discuss openly my fears for the next generation, how I managed myself professionally, and my recommendations on what we can all do to ensure a fair, even and equal workforce.

Ignore the Naysayers | Episode Nine

Can I be honest with you? Some of the hardest moments in my entrepreneurial journey haven't come from a bad month, a lost client, or a cashflow dip. They've come from the people closest to me telling me it wouldn't work.

Train Your Whole Team to Sell | Episode Six

I experience it so often:

I call into businesses, I call them up, I email them, or contact them on social media, and I end up walking away and debating my choice to work with that company.

I say that without an ounce of arrogance. I say it because the team member I end up speaking with has had no sales training whatsoever.

Worse than that, and this is happening more often than not these days, those team members haven't even had any basic customer service training.

If you look at the most successful companies and businesses in our history, they have all implemented solid sales training into their employment processes.

Even McDonald's crew members have sales training - and I will bet my bottom dollar they have sold to YOU, without you perhaps even knowing. Eight years in business.

Time really does fly when you are having fun!

I really cannot believe eight years have gone by so fast; I still remember the very first day of starting my new ‘job’.

Having that anxious, nervous feeling when I sat down at my desk, in my bedroom for the very first time.

Not only was I about to embark on my business venture, but I had effectively started a new life, and a completely different one to the one I had for over eight years previously.

When a Client Decides to Leave | Episode Four

Termination of service. It’s the kind of email I have received numerous times over the past 8 years of business, but, it still hits hard.

Say YES to More Opportunities | Episode 3

We all get opportunities thrown our way every single day.

Some of these opportunities are small. Tiny little opportunities that may go unnoticed.

Other times, these opportunities are huge. They are life changing.

Either way, I strongly believe that if we take on board any opportunity that comes our way, our lives will flourish.

So many people turn down opportunities and wonder why their life is stagnant. They wonder why their career has stalled. They wonder why their love life is dry.

And yet, when you look at it, the people that get out there, grasp every opportunity by the scruff of the neck, and just go with it, it’s always them that seem to go on to do good things.

Trailer | From Bedroom to BoardroomRunning a business can feel scary. It can be isolating… and, at times, properly lonely.

Episode Two | Creating a Business, Not Just a Job

I see so many people start a business, and very soon get stuck in a job they create for themselves. For some people, this is absolutely fine, and works out for the best. For others, they soon feel a sense of resentment and perhaps disappointment towards what they have grown and built. After all, before long, you can so easily just end up swapping time for money. In this week's episode, I talk about how I turned my business from a job, and into a business.
